Location is not downtown but quite calm, and the metro station is 5-7 mins walk away. Reception staff is efficient and friendly. Carlos at reception recommended a good fado place, he was very nice and eager to help. Parking was for free but the underground parking is a bit hard to use, though manageable. Outside parking - if you can find a place - is free at weekend. Breakfast is 10 Euro - cannot say the selection is extensive but it's good. The cleaning ladies never smile and never greet guests - the only negative. I would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at the end of November 2013. In my experience, Holiday Inns are a pretty safe bet and this one was no exception, room was spacious and kept very clean, top marks to the lady who cleaned room 601. Room was at the back and very quiet. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of hot and cold choices which should please most. All staff were very friendly and efficient and the only downside of our stay was a very poor internet service which although was complained about was still charged. Reception in the lobby was good.

Location is a fair bit from the city centre but only a few mins walk from a Metro station. We chose to walk into the centre a few times to appreciate the magnificent buildings old and new. Hotel is fairly close to the airport and a taxi from there to the hotel was 19.50 euro which for a ten min trip a bit steep, a contrast was the return trip costing 9.50 euro, think its something to do with airport taxi's costing more than the local ones. Local taxi always outside the hotel if required. We found the overall Hotel costs reasonable and would go back again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front could be subject to some traffic noise from the cobbled street, the back is quiet...

Myself and my family stayed in this hotel for a couple of days in late July. It is not exactly centrally located and is showing it's age. There is nothing remarkable to say about the hotel either positively or negatively. It is average cost, average rooms, below average location, average meals. I would not recommend the hotel for a family as the rooms are small, nor is the hotel exactly a 'budget hotel' option. Overall I would believe there are better options within Lisbon for a family location or a hotel lined up with the favorite tourist sites.

I stayed here for one night for a business conference. The room was lovely and the bed had a choice of pillows. Unfortunately the internet connection was poor and kept dropping. Breakfast was average. Nothing wrong but nothing special either. Lunch was much better.

I had an overnight stopover in Lisbon whilst travelling from the Azores back to the UK and was placed in this hotel. Fantastic choice by the company who booked me in there. It is without doubt a very up market hotel. The immediate surroundings were clean and looked very nice, alas I arrived at night and somewhat tired so didn't venture out of the hotel.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and I was quickly shown into my palatial room. Large well appointed bedroom with an equally large and stunningly clean bathroom. Shower, bath WC and Bidet all top quality and spotless.

I ventured to the lounge for a bite to eat and a beer before bed. Again staff were attentive and helpful and the beer and burger were what I would expect in a large hotel.

Maybe I'm easily pleased or have learned not to expect too much from hotels these days but this for me is not a basic hotel with no charm as some others have suggested.

BE WARNED the taxi drivers from the airport will charge the earth and take you miles out of the way to up the fare. 30 Euros and thirty minutes from the airport. In the morning and speaking with the concierge was less than 10 Euros and takes ten minutes.

We stayed at this hotel because I used my Priority Club points otherwise we would have stayed more centrally. Buy a day ticket at the metro station for the metro/Trams & buses, buses pass the hotel, the nearest metro into the town centre is Rossio about a ten minute walk this will also take you to the airport and a day ticket is 6 euro's - great value.
Our room in the hotel was five star because we got an upgrade to an exec room, two flat screen TV's, large lounge, king bed and the shower was high power. The room was on the front which I would recommend and on the sixth floor.
Breakfast was ok but I would not recommend the evening meal, the spagetti was tasteless I could not eat it and received a refund.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and this was our first visit to Lisbon and would recommend it to anyone looking for a city break, 4-5 days is perfect

Room Tip: high floor rooms facing the road and try for an upgrade athough we looked at standard rooms and they...

Hotel is basic and rather character less but is comfortable. I guess we should expect this from Holiday Inn. Wifi is rather slow though. Location is not very convininent either....... Staff and service is good though...... breakfast is excellent..... this is one area where the hotel does very well.
