“Wouldn't go back to this hotel!”

We stayed at this hotel for four nights, and that was long enough! We were very excited to stay at a Marriott Hotel as we had only heard good things in the past. However the service we received at The Lisbon Marriott was terrible!
The food at the restaurant was barely edible and the servers were rude. They did not even acknowledge us when we walked in the door. After waiting for ten minutes we had to flag the sever down to take our order! Our food came, it was flavorless and overcooked! Again, we sat for another fifteen minutes after finishing our meal. Every server(literally every single one) in the restaurant walked passed us and did not acknowledge us once! Once again, we had to flag our server down to get the bill. He then asked if our food was okay we said no not really, and his reply was "okay" as he walked away.
We went to the front desk a number of times for assistance during our stay with various matters, and they seemed as though they could not care less. They did not smile and had very poor customer service skills. The one and only service in the hotel that was friendly was the concierge team. Nunu especially was very kind, if it wasn't for him this trip would have been terrible. Thank you Nunu for being so kind and helpful!
The rooms were out dated and did not come fully stocked with towels or toilet paper. When calling to have some brought up they did not show, and we had to call again the next day as we still hadn't received our towels.
Overall we would never come back to the Marriott Lisbon. The service was poor and did not live up to the high standards of the Marriott name! Being a traveler I have stayed at many, many hostels and they have provided me with much better service at less then half of the price to stay in a room. Working in the customer service industry ourselves, we know that good service is not hard to provide, and you can make someones day just with a smile. However, no one really knew how to smile or provide friendly, accommodating service (that hostels manage to exceed).

Rooms are in need of some updating. Bed was fine, but furnishings were outdated. Only stayed here one night and did not use the facilities.

This hotel is kinda hit or miss. Sometimes the service was great other times it was horrible.

The concierge always proved to be good though.

Staff in the executive lounge were not very friendly.

Rooms are small and dated.

Lisbon is a favorite destination and the staff at this hotel reflects the essence of friendliness! Daniel at the concierge desk, called several stores to locate the right size football t-shirt with Ronaldo's name on it, for my son! Thank you guys!

I have stayed here four times over the past few years and I enjoy the hotel for the views and the fact that it has an outdoor pool. The rooms are also modern and well equipped.

The only real downside is the service. The service is OK in that you get what you ask for but just don't expect a smile. I would describe the service as "functional", or "French". If you are a seasoned traveler you'll know what I mean. If you are French, please accept my apologies ;-)

I love the hotel. It has a lovely outdoor pool and the breakfast there is by far the best I have ever seen in an hotel.
The bed is very comfortable and the hotel isn't small.
Its located next to the station too.
The service is okay.

My partner and I stayed here for a couple of days before travelling down to the Algarve. The hotel is of high standard with the reception staff being particularly polite, knowledgable and efficient. The hotel has a pool so is the ideal spot to unwind and relax. Just 10 minutes from Lisbon airport so the location is ideal for stays before early morning flights.

Room Tip: High floor rooms are better.
