Far from city centre, far from metro, you`ll need a taxi to go arround. I thought Marriott should have some SOPs- but it looked like they did not. Even the cleaning service was differrent every day. We had a business meeting there, had a power outage and nobody was able to fix it. Breakfast mediocre, hot plates at buffet-lunch were not hot at all. Only good point- reception staff. Overall- incredible bad experience for a Marriott

Yes..the hotel is not centrally located to the city center..but taxis are available around the clock to take a 15 minute ride in to the town..Traffic can be busy during rush hours...but this is not a problem since Lizbon is blessed to be close to the Tagus river and the ocean..It is worth to visit....The room was spacious with all the modern amenities. Breakfast buffet was fantastic..I can not say the same thing about the breakfast service..However service is improved with dinner time..Would go back to stay there again...

Stayed here in Feb 2010 (and had previously stayed a few years ago). An excellent hotel in almost every respect. Only issue is the location - you need to be prepared to hop a cab to get into city centre, but then cabs are not so expensive.

The hotel is 10 min away from the International Airport, 10 min away from Colombo shopping mall and 5 min away from El Corte Ingles shopping mall.
Going downtown by taxi takes about 15min and all the taxi's have the same fare: 2euro per km. We allways went by taxi because it got us cheeper then buying 2 separate metro tickets (which by the way is very expensive).

The staff is very friendly and the concierge excellent especially Nuno.Great person, warm, smart and always there for you when you need him.
Also Sandro from Front Desk is very helpful and funny :).

Breakfast is rich and the rooms are excellent. the beds are so comfortable for your back and the pillows so fluffy that you don't want to get up in the morning.

The GM /Anil Sanbat is a very warm person....he greated us almost every Day when he saw us and he also is a great concierge.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights, attending an International Congress, and it was our home away from home.
If you have time go to Cascais by the Ocean and drink every Day Porto wine (so delicious) because you don't find it else where in Europe.

It was a good place to stay...clean & the employees were all helpful.
that was in 2005
do watch out for the cab drivers though...some are dishonest & will take advantage of you

The experience at the Lisbon Marriott Hotel was unique and no literary word can describe the feeling of the wonderful moments I spent in the congress. A big thank to the General Manager, the concierge desk and all the team.

I stayed from the 14th to 19th of January. The GM,Mr.Anil Sampat of the hotel was too good, had given us good compnay, but most of the staff seemed to me that they do not respect him much.I had asked for an adaptor for my mobile charger for three consecutive days and the answer was 'no' to be instead of trying to find one, have to improoove their service, not upto the standard of a hotel
