A good hotel and excellent value for money. The rooms were basic but clean and everything was well looked after. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was simple but good. The metro station is very close which can take you right into town and also to the airport.

We stayed here in January & found this very good value for money. However, I would recommend that biggish people inquire as to the size of the ensuite in their rooms, as the one in the room we had was very cramped. It was OK for the two of us who are pretty average sized, but reminded us a lot of Japanese bathrooms, if you get the gist. I don't think larger people would be comfortable, unless there are larger ensuites in other rooms.

That said, there was construction going on in the area - adding another entrance to the Arreiro Metro station. This was NOT a disruption & caused no extra noise that we noticed; just made the area a bit less pretty & probably contributed to the good discounted price we got - around 20 Euros per night.

The room was, shall we say, a bit dainty, but as others have said, clean & quiet. We were on the second floor overlooking the street, and there was some traffic noise, but nothing too disturbing. The staff were very friendly & the restaurant next door (where we had our inclusive breakfast) was good. There are lots of other restaurants in the area, & the location near the Metro, buses & the Arreiro suburban train station was very convenient.

Last tip: there is free wifi in the public areas, however our room on the 2nd floor could also access it, which was handy.

We would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: check the ensuite size & also whether you can get wifi in your room

The hotel is basic, but really excellent value for money. The room was small but clean and quiet.
Breakfast was more than adequate and was served next door at the small cafe. The location is excellent, right next to a metro station and also with a 24 hour taxi rank just outside the hotel!
It cost just 6 € for two passengers to get to the airport.
The receptionists were very helpful and polite. I would gladly go back, the cost for four nights with breakfast was ridiculously inexpensive.

Room Tip: Book early1

I asked my travel agent to find something simple near Lisbon airport, as all I really needed was a bed to sleep in. So they did, but I must admit I was slightly worried when it said 'hostel' and my contract in Lisbon added to it by saying that many places like this in Portugal are not acceptable.

I got there with all my sensors in full alert, but it was a very positive surprise. I've been to four star hotels that are a lot worse than this one.

It's newly renovated, very nice rooms and a good bathroom too. When all you need is a reasonably priced place to stay before a flight out of Lisbon then this is a great choice.

I did not try the breakfast (I honestly don't even know if they serve one) because of an ungodly early flight out of Lisbon airport.

Don't stay here if you want either a ibis style cookie-cutter establishment or 4 star for a 2 start price! Lisbon itself is a bit down-beat considering the times and this fit in with the general theme. We got a great deal via the internet which was honoured (double room + breakfast for 35 euro). Great access to the metro. Guess you can find better views elsewhere in the city though (not especially romantic).
Really nice and friendly young guy on the desk who spoke good english and answered all questions. We asked for a silent room and got one at the back. Decent size, clean and similar to some of the photos (this maybe season dependent). Didn't try wi-fi as wanted to be offline a few days (disappointing that you can't use their desktop access for free though .. 35 euro cents per min). Shower did fill up so drainage must have been a bit blocked (looking at the door which was warped at the bottom there had been some previous over-spills). Breakfast was in the Cafe next door. Quality was acceptable except for the coffee .. literally undrinkable !! (and I'm an instant person myself no coffee snob). Redeeming feature was the staircase if you like the old style (see photo). There was an interesting mix of patrons which I liked rather than a set of business drones.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room in the booking to avoid the noise from the large roundabout out the front.
