A nice clean hotel with reasonably sized, quiet bedrooms and as a solo traveller, I was provided with a double bed which was appreciated for a good night's sleep.
The breakfasts are €9 which may be considered steep, but you do get quite a good selection. The only draw back of the Mercure, is that it is quite out of the centre. I did walk to central Lisbon most times, but probably most people would have to get the metro in. There is a roof top pool - but it is quite small and more of a way of getting wet than doing any serious swimming.
I appreciated the free internet terminal near reception as not all leisure travellers carry a laptop with them.
A good out of centre hotel option to consider (a taxi from the hotel to LIS Airport was only €9).
