oh lord ,just came back from this hotel....to just ask information.......if i knew.....never in my life ,had been received like that.....person at the reception was so very rude.....i even...note her name Sandra Ramos.....
i just wanted to know the fare and the availability for a double twin....and ask her to ,if possible view the room......she glanced at me like i was asking something impossible...and just pretend to look at the computer......oh we are full.....really.....
just imagine my self in this hotel with some problems....health or lost credit card....or anything else.....how would react that kind of person.....
will never recommend it.....

Having stayed at the Novatel 400m further along the street on the same trip the contrast between each hotels 2 target markets was very obvious. The Novatel was heaving with kids and the Mercure might have had none, Oher than that they very similar. The Mercure pool area on roof would probably be better, not just because it would not have the kids, but it would be less shaded later on in the afternoon.

If you have young kids the Novatel shades but if older teenagers then the Mercure probably shades. Both were good, and both not to expensive. You can eat out locally 3 good restaurants on same street, a Brazilian meat , an italian , and a top class vegetarian. Metro about 300m away.

This is a no more than average hotel. It meets minimum requirements, but no morethan that. Everything is quite average:room size, amenities, breakfast... with one big disadvantage: non soundproof rooms, which meant that at 4am in the morning I was woken up by a couple returning to the room next to mine, after what seemed a party night speaking loudly and slaming the doors which seemed in my own room.
I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel, since it is not a good value for money option. There are many other less expensive hotels in the area which offer at least the same standards.
