Basic Mercure hotel without any special remarks. Small rooms, simple breakfast. Fairly close to the mall. Not to much restaurants nearby. We took taxi to get in the centrum, so there were not to much public buses in hotel area.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is good. There's a nice swimming pool at the top floor. There's a stop of the Hop on Hop off Yellow Bus and also the Lisbon Sightseeing Bus (the red one) just half a block away. However, at this part of the city the blocks are a bit large...

Family of four. We booked two rooms and although not next door to one another we were placed on same floor.

Everything about this hotel works. The location and the sevice was truly exemplary. The reception staff were pleasant and accomodating. The cleanliness of this hotel was second to none and the housemaids all smiled and passed pleasantries.

Make a visit to the roof top pool. Well worth a visit. Sadly the two days we went weather was poor.

The breakfast at 11 euros each, we thought was a little expensive and looking at the other reviews we decided to try a local eatery. The hotel is within business sector so we came across a little patisserie, ordered four drinks and hot buttered toast cost just 12 euros for four of us.

I will definitely be returning to this hotel and hope for better weather next time. :)

We spent 1night at the Mercure Lisboa hotel.

We paid the extra 10euro/night for the privilege room & it was very comfortable - nice sized, clean & modern. The bed was super comfy and the complimentary bath products were fantastic.
Breakfast was sufficient - nothing fancy - continental offering (breads, cheese) with some fruit and a bit of scrambled eggs.
Wifi was included and worked relatively well - I didn't have problems but my husbands ipad did.

In terms of friendliness of staff - this is the only negative of the hotel... that the staff are not really interested in being there, or smiling or making any "additional" effort. They do their job (no complaints on that) - but you can see that they are not really interested in a career in Horeca...
Both check-in & check-out took 10-15min before we were even served because there was only 1person on the counter and there was someone in front of us.

We would definitely return to the hotel because it was affordable & comfortable.
