Stayed here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and glad we chose this hotel. Location was ideal, close to Marques de Pombal square where most of the tour buses leave from, but was only 15 minutes or so from downtown Lisbon along the elegant Liberty Avenue. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, giving advice on where to go, booking excursions, etc. Breakfast room was on the small side, but there was a good choice of food and we always found a table. The Blu bar and restaurant was very comfortable, food was good quality, particularly the risotto. Would definitely consider staying here again. If you are staying in Lisbon for any length of time, a trio to Sintra is a must - magical place!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor as at the weekend, the traffic outside can become very busy and can...

As others have stated this hotel ticks virtually all of the boxes. Good location in a lovely city and extremely helpful receptionists got the holiday off to a great start. Rooms were good and quiet and the breakfast enjoyable with plenty of variety We had one meal in the restaurant and thought the food over salted . The dining room itself is excellent, indeed the whole hotel is well presented. We will stay here again if we are back in Lisbon but would probably eat out unless the weather was bad

The hotel - its funky and contemporary, comfortable, clean, has modern TV, free reliable internet, a fridge, ipod docking radio, safe. The standard rooms a good size, with a funky picture covering the bed headboard wall, and very comfortable beds. I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times now and would stay again.

Staff are excellent – I think it helps with the hotel not being too big. Once you’ve gone through the usual check in process on the first visit, you don’t have to do it again. On return visits you turn up and they have the key card waiting… And they call you by your surname, impressive. They also helped me out when the taxi tried to rip me off for €30 from the airport (usually €10).

This hotel is just about in the perfect place. It’s away from all the noise of the centre, but jump on the blue line of the metro (station right outside the hotel) and you’re in the middle of it all in 5 minutes. Get off at Baixa, head west (up the 4 flights of escalators) and you’re in restaurant/bar heaven. Head north on the blue metro line and you’ll find the central coach station, which is great for travelling, as coaches are on the whole quicker than trains.

Breakfast was fine, continental buffet style of cereals/yoghurts and pastries/breads, with hot dishes of eggs, bacon, and chorizo type sausage.

There are a few places to eat around the area too.

If you want a hotel with a pool and a good gym, this is not for you. If you want a brilliant hotel which is personal and not too big, then it’s for you.

Room Tip: Rooms to the back and on higher floors are more quiet

This was our second trip to Lisbon. Just to echo the rest of the reviews, could not find any fault with this hotel. We would have liked a tea and coffee facilities, but the staff and hotel itself more than compensated for this. Will stay again.

This was our first trip to Lisbon. My wife and I chose this hotel based on the positive comments that we had read on tripadvisor. We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and we enjoyed every moment of it. The managers, the staff, and everyone working at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite good and again the service there was excellent. Room was very clean, bathroom was clean and we had no problem with the shower and bath. The location of the hotel was very good. Just 10 to 15 minutes walking distance to the Rossio and the downtown area. The metro station is just outside the hotel. Bina at the reception was very helpful and she always guided us as regards to any places that we could visit. The others at the reception were equally friendly and helpful. We chose to go on few day trips and the hotel suggested us a very good tour guide. Mr. Victor the tour guide, was very friendly, patient and would make sure that all of us would enjoy our trip. Overall, my wife and I fell in love with Lisbon and if we return we will definitely choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: Our room had the window open to the main street and if you left it open at night, the sound of the t...

Stayed here for two nights attending a congress (which is a good taxi ride way if you are in the congress centre). The hotel reception staff were particularly helpful, but the bar and restaurant staff very slow and 'don't rush me'. Our (business) meeting at the hotel (pre-congress) went very well, and the buffet food they cooked us was very pleasant, especially the local custard tarts.

The rooms were fairly pleasant, quite clean. I had 203, which overlooked an internal courtyard. You might be better off with an even number, but go higher up, as the traffic round this hotel is quite heavy.

The metro is steps away, old Lisbon maybe a 15/20 minute walk. The harbour 10 minutes in a taxi. Happy with the hotel, better I would think for business people rather than tourists, although plenty of both were staying.

Room Tip: Try an even number higher up for extra daylight (higher up to miss traffic noise)
