“Great location. We'd go back.”
Reviewed 9 June 2013 via mobile

We spent four nights at this hotel in late May 2013, and would happily return there. The room (in the back of the hotel) was quiet and clean, adequately appointed but with no frills, and the breakfast was more than ample. The staff was friendly and helpful. What's best is the location: on the "eating lane" in Lisbon, and within walking distance of the Bairro Alto and Alfama districts. The rate was very reasonable. We will recommend this place to friends.

I stayed for four nights and was quite satisfied with this hotel considering the very low price. I had a good sized single room at the back with a large, spotlessly clean bathroom. The staff was very helpful and very nice. The hotel is old and not particularly beautiful but I think it is a great bargain. The location is ideal, central to all transportation and lots of restaurants. My room was at the back and was therefore quiet but the front rooms face a pedestrian street which can be noisy. The breakfast was not fancy but there were many choices and it is included in the price. This is a great bargain hotel which offers a lot for a little money.

Room Tip: The back rooms are quiet.

My wife and I a"laid over" in Lisbon on our way home from Saville to the US. The Resodencial Florescene is located in downtown Lisbon and is a short taxi rife from the airport. the room was clean, the service was good and the breakfast 9included) was adequate. There is a restaurant, however, the hotel is located on a pedestrian roadway that had numerous restaurants and souvenier shops for the last-minutes gifts to bring home.

We stayed for 5 nights. The rooms in the hotel are very different, watch out !

First we got a room which was facing a blind wall with noisy airco generators. We asked for a different room, it was no problem. We ended up on the street side, the room was smaller. The bathroom was awful: it had a glass (sliding) door and it was so small that if you went to the toilet your knees were stuck against the sink. Sometimes we had no warm water.

Other things: a very hard bed, no remote control-tv, no chairs, lots of noise of wooden floors & neighbours. The breakfast: a great variety but the quality could be better. F.e. cold scrambled eggs are not very tasteful/baked egg which was cold and feeling like rubber, no fresh juice.

However the location is perfect (near bus/metro station, shops & restaurants) but it is also noisy because of late night music played at the nearby restaurants. The staff is friendly. The wine in the hotel lounge is of good quality and cheap. Our stay was good enough for a short city break but I would not recommend it. There is a great chance you end up in the wrong (small) room without a view.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street side, do not choose a room on the back or the side of the elevator.

This hotel is very close to the centre of town and close to transport. the local restaurants are a bit pushy but you get used to walking through a barrage of invitations to eat. The room was small but all that we needed for a city stay. The shower and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The Breakfast was basic and for some reason things were quite cold even though they were in a warmer. The desk staff were very helpful and spoke good English. There was a lift or stairs to get up to the rooms. Overall a good place to stay.

This hotel is average. The staff is very formal, we got the disability room, with view to a small shaft, but with a bathroom big as a ballroom. The price is ok. the breakfast is also very good, but you have to pay additional for an espresso. You can't find a hotel with a better location. Close to everything, in walking distance with Alfama, Baxia and (with one of the "elevadores") Bairro Alto. In Bairro Alto you will every find weekend night one of the biggest parties in Europe. Try that, and you will appriciate a hotel near by.
