We spent 6 nights there and moved after one night to the room I had asked for on the 4th floor. That was absolutely ok for us and I can say that the view to Tejo and bridge was so amazing that it was worth a move. We were lucky enough to have a room with beautiful and modern bathroom, all renovated only one year ago.
A special thank goes to our adorable chambermaid F.
She is Portuguese and speaks perfectly German, French, English... and she is so friendly. I wish she could sit at the reception desk so everybody would feel really welcome there.
The breakfast ist not really worth it so we skipped it after 1 day and went to the café downstairs. We spent more than 2 days without elevator and were happy that the room view was worth this climbing effort.
Also great to be so close to a miradouro (point of view) and to Barrio Alto. You have all the bars and restaurants at the corner but not the noise.
Parking if you come by car is a problem. You have parking places quite far away from the hotel and expensive (almost EUR 70 for 6 days). But that's the way it is.
When you are just too tired: A taxi from Praca do Comercio (big square near Tejo, low city) to the hotel costs about EUR 5.More
