Not the most famous one, not the oldest one... but the best one.
Opened some years ago, the owner decided to sell the best ginjinha he could find. And that's a really amazing one.
Small bar, where you can also taste a port wine or, if you don't like or don't want to drink alcohol, a nice "groselha" (currant) drink.
Young people working and a young boss make the bar really fun to go.

Great hole in the wall bar selling its own label eponymous cherry liqueur. Nice atmosphere. Great for a post meal stopover especially on a pleasant balmy evening.

Ginginha is a typical lisbon drink (sweet licorice), normally handmade by our grand-parents.

Is one of the best, located next to Rossio train station (one of the most beautiful buildings in Lisbon), taste it and you will love it!! :)

Unique experience to have a Ginginha in Lisbon and I cannot imagine a better place to stop by for a few minutes to have it. Very friendly too.

Set just at the very end of Baixa district, at the very corner of a little shady alley into the largest square, there's a shop as small as a newstand, where the counter is a large fridge box, its walls loaded up to the ceiling with thousand bottles, cream colored art-déco with cherries on it, and a deepest blackish red syrup in it: it's not syrup. As you will enter, the shop owner will fill a small glass cup with it, and while he pours in, you will hear some sudden blop blop blop; that's the real cherries dropping in the glass; the liquid is black cherry based and it's called the "Ginginha", it's a traditional liquor sice early 1910s.....and that's oh, sooooooooo goooooood, not oversweet, not oversour, just perfect, like a perfect little drop of happiness in a beautiful Lisbon day. Warning: may cause cherry addiction!!!! ;-)
