This ornate museum contains items from Portugal’s long history. The items on display vary from complete suits of armour for knight and horse, to flintlock pistols, to swords from all eras, to helmets and uniforms. There is even the grave marker of a Portuguese soldier who died in the First World War. This museum is a must-see for anyone who is interested in arms and armour and in the role that Portugal’s military has played in its history. There is an admission fee to pay, but it is worth it to enjoy this fascinating museum.
