Most decorative arts museums I have been to allow photos without flash because the people who go to these types of museums want to study and remember what they saw in the museum. So I do not understand why no photos at all can be taken. There was nothing I saw in this museum that would have been harmed by photography.

Cumprimentos :-)

Tucked away below the Castello Sao Jorge and on the 28 Tram route. A really fantastic collection of decrotive and furniture pieces in a wonderful setting.

This small museum has a very nice coach and some nice silver pieces and antiques. It also has a couple of the most random, bizaare, out-of-place "collections" I've ever encountered in a museum (someone's matchbox collection, a young girl's 'nailpolish collection'). Inexpensive, but no great loss if you bypass it.

Thank you very much for your visit and review,

In 2011 the Museum, together with other national museum, integrated some contemporary pieces and instalations which were part of Experimenta Design, comissioned by Emily King.

The Museum has its own collection, but sometimes has partnerships with other museums and with contemporary artists.

Best regards.
