Although it is not that impressive (e.g. compared to Jeronimo) it is old and has an "atmosphere". You can take the bus for going there or ig you have are at the castle, you can walk down (as we did) and have a visit!

This old cathedral dates from the 11th century! Its very majestic from the outside, and it seems you time travel in the inside to the ages of knights and templars. A must see

Calm, moving and tranquil! It is slightly out of the way in the gothic area but worth the walk up the hill - just watch out for the trams!

We included the Sé in our walk through Alfama, and it was certainly worth wandering past it. The cathedral is beautiful and so very "Lisbon". The tram stops just outside it, if you don't fancy walking.

Though beware this is a tourist hotspot and pickpocketing here is rife! (We even saw a woman get pickpocketed right outside the cathedral.)
