“Avoid that area for dinner”
Reviewed 14 January 2013

Let's make it short: not the worst but definately not the best. The food was comestible but that's it. The presentation of the plate is great as it is the only positive thing about it. If you want to have a better place, take a walk in Bairro Alto.

“Great Value and stylish food”
Reviewed 30 November 2012

My wife and I walked up and down the side streets of the menu hawkers looking for a restaurant that not only had some sort of atmosphere, but something different from the "typical" Portuguese cuisine that was being touted by every place we walked by, when we stumbled upon Perola. Romantically lit and stylishly inviting. We were attentively greeted by Joel who was the manager and the rest of the evening was excellent, from the Tapas, to the excellent wine. My wife had the salmon in pastry with a cream sauce which was amazing. My baked Octopus was excellent. Chocolate crepe for desert...mmmmmm. Later in the week we went back to try the mixed fish grill and were not disappointed. The service was attentive and everything we tried was excellent as was the value - I would highly recommend this restaurant. We were also informed by Joel that they also had a residence that is attached to the restaurant that has rooms for appx. 50 euros a night, and the breakfast is severed at the restaurant. -

“Its a proper restaurant in a sea of Tourist Traps”
Reviewed 22 November 2012

Good food well presented , reasonable price. We went twice rather than try some of the nearby resturants as they had mixed write ups and looked tourist traps.

Recommended to eat at Restaurante Perula by a Portuguese friend. Good food, excellent service, good value for money. Two main courses, one desert (shared) one bottle of wine (Duas Quintas, red, recommended) €49.

“Tasty good Portuguese food”
Reviewed 1 October 2012

Great place that we found by luck. Food was great on the 3 times we ate there and the service was spot on. Would easily recommend it to others since we didn't find that many decent restaurants in Lisbon, and not without a lack of trying. :)
