“Great location the the centre of Lisbon”
Reviewed 16 February 2013

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, therefore close to shops, restaurants and transportation.
Breakfast has a wide variety and rooms are cosy in a traditional manner.
The roof top restaurant and bar are very good.
For those travelling by car it is an excellent choice as the hotel as its own garage and it is free!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the Sao Jorge Castle.

This is a really bland, "could be anywhere in the world" kind of hotel, it was clean and functional but nothing to set it apart from hundreds of others except for it's location. It is central with plenty of access to public transport of all kinds. The drawback of this is that we were approached many times in our 5 day stay by people asking for money. Apart from the location it has a nice rooftop bar, with lovely staff. But these really are the only good things.
There is no free wi fi (really?), you have to pay for the room safe (really?), the breakfast buffet is ok but uninspiring, coffee from a vending machine...

The hotel is in a great location leiterally a 30 second walk from Rossio Metro station (in the heart of the city). You are in the heart of the city but the hotel itself is quiet overnight.

The room was spacious with big wardrobes, clean and comfortable. The TV had some English channels (mainly news) which helps you keep up to date with whats going on at home. The breakfast buffet was good its in a huge room with most if the things you would expect for breakfast in Europe.

The big highlight for me was the rooftop bar. We went up at 5.30 when it opened and we were able to enjoy the sunset with a drink. We stayed on the terrace for a while taking in the stunning view. You must do this if you stay here.

The hotel was great and I am really glad I picked it!

We stayed in August 2012 for a long weekend whilst visiting Lisbon and Sintra. The hotel is centrally located but quiet with tram and bus stops nearby and easy access to the underground and overground railways.

The hotel had a quiet bar on the ground floor and a much busier and fashionable rooftop bar with fabulous views of the city and the castle.

We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast and this offered good choice and service.

The room was comfortable with nice views over the city from a high floor. However, I couldn't rave about it as anything special.

Reception was very helpful and gave great advice for getting around the city by public transport or to Sintra by rail.

There were plenty of bars, shops, restaurants, cafes and custard tart shops in the vicinity!

Would stay here again when in town for the location.

Room Tip: High rooms are quieter wit good views but you can wait longer for the list and the stairs are less o...

İ stayed at this hotel with a group of friends.First of alll, the hotel is right in the centre, close to all major attractions including main squares,Barrio Alto nightlife district, old town of Alfamo.Probably, the best location for a Hotel in Lisbon. The staff is very friendly and helpful, what is more ,even the porters speak good English unlike other Eurepen Hotels like İn İtaly,France etc.The rooms are reasobly big and clean, particularly the bathroom was quite big.The hotel was undergoing through renovation when we were there. The breakfast was nice with adequate variety. The only thing i did not like with the hotel was that the lobby was quite dark with dark coloured furnitures.İ think that part needs renovation and would be better off with lighter coloured furnitures.

First, Lisbon as a city far exceeded our expectations. It was warm and friendly and full of history and delightful restaurants and little warrens filled with shops. All within walking distance of the Hotel Mundial. Or you can rent go cars or take the plentiful public transportation. The Mundial is an very well appointed hotel and was great for my family of six. I would stay there again for sure. The staff was friendly and the concierge was attentive and available. They procured a private tour guide with car for my family and we thoroughly enjoyed the day with him traveling up the coast and to other local highlights.
