Great modern hotel with great service (especially on the front desk), restaurant and bar. Great buffet breakfast. Only fault would be lack of free wi-fi in bedrooms. This is a must in a modern hotel.. I would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon

Stayed here in an Executive room as a belated birthday treat. It was delightful. The room was great, the view in both directions was fabulous, but especially towards the viaduc. The Executive Lounge was extremely pleasant and relaxing as was the food and drink (wine, beer and nonalcoholic). The breakfast in the lounge also was excellent. The Executive staff were superb with sightseeing tips and sorting out issues if they arose. They also surprised me with a birthday treat. The hotel was very convenient to the metro, but was still walking distance (a very pleasant walk of about 5 km that we did on the day of the General Strike) to the old town areas.
We also very much enjoyed our meal in the Tipico Restaurant. We have stayed in Corinthia Hotels before and certainly would again.

Best Value we found in Lisbon and we were so impressed, I'm headed to the Corinthia in Prague this weekend! It isn't in the center of downtown but the cabs are readily available and very inexpensive that it was easy to get around. We found it handy for the sightseeing bus tours also!

Ill do it form the start:
Upon collecting your key-card, you walk to the lifs area - there are 4 lifts: A,B,C, D. You need to type the floor you are going to, and watch which lift is allocated to you; once in the lift, it is impossible to choose to go to another floor, so watch that you go to your lift :) Modern.

By your room door, there is a very convenient shelf, where I could place my handbag and rummage for my room keys..... :) Thoughtfull.

Upon entry to your room, you are met with mellow music in the background.... SUCH a NICE, relaxing and welcoming feeling.... (the radio plays your bathroom, and compliments to whoever was responsible for choosing the contents of what to play) Welcoming.

There is a circle shaped work desk, very large TV, seriously ample space for storing your clothes - both in the wardrobe and chest of drawers. Just in general, a very cosey looking room.

The quality of the hotel is reflected from so many angles - from the classy hotel stationery with the golden colour logo linings, to brochures, to the hair-dryer and the iron, with very wide ironing board You can trust you will not look shabby whoever you are meeting in Lisbon.
even their hotel stationery and broshures are of a very high standard. Very classy looking indeed. What I really loved was the fact that the mirror in the shower does not get covered with steams when you shower, (with the music playing in the background) and the light switch button on your bed head-board, which switches or the entire electricity in the room.

Tea/Coffee inroom facilities, telephone in the bathroom, are also a handy touch, something that still not all good hotels have. You get two pairs of slippers and bathrobes, too, which I always love to have in the room.

If I had to criticise the hotel slightly, it would be the sockets where you can actually switch on your iron, and to make tea/coffee. If to be totally fussy - the area around the sinks in the bathroom was somewhat smallinsh for my make-up etc. But as there were 'his &hers' sinks (as were the toilets), I understand and forgive for this lack of space for make up :)

Gym and Spa area matches the rest of the hotel - good equipment, spacious, it even has a (step) room/area, with pretty much ceiling-to-floor windows, Swimming pool requires ladies to wear swim caps, but they can be purchased at 2eur; might be just a tad too small to do laps, but it's still rather big. Your gym overlooks a nice grassy area, which in summer time would be filled with those comfy outside loungers and chairs - VERY cool area!!!... If you consider coming to Lisbon in summer time - you would absolutely love it here!!!

It is worth coming up to the Concierge, not only because they are very efficient in helping you, explaining you things how to go about the city, but also to grab one of those sweet treats - they are not your usual mints you get at most hotels, they are good quality chocolates melting in your mouth!!!... I was almost tempted to pretend being stupid how to find the Yellow Bus hop-on bus stop, those sweeties were so good :)

I don't know if my drink consumption is different, however the spirits portions were very generous, and the waiting bar staff did know their art. A nice chilling place.

THe hotel is somewhat further afield from the centre, but there are 2 stops where you can catch underground, Parca de Espagna being about 5-10 minutes, depending on what shoes you are wearing, and it is 5 stops to the centre on the Blue Metro Line, takes about 10 mins.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary (25 years) at the hotel. We have been exceptionally well received.
Executive Club staff tried to surprise us with treats and attention. Succeeded!
The location is excellent. We knew the city, through the recommendations and suggestions of the care team.
Food is another strong point of the hotel. We were delighted with the pianist's bar. Simply wonderful!

Room Tip: Rooms at high floors! Show you part of the city.

We stayed two nights at the Corinthia when our flights back to the USA were cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. The first room assigned was on Floor 15, and it reeked of cigarette smoke (the maid said that floors 15 and 20 are smoking floors). So we used the room phone to request a change and were informed that a rep would come up to exchange keys. I was skeptical (there were ~70 people checking in at one time) but in ten minutes here came a rep, as promised, with keys to a room on floor 19. The room was good-sized, clean, with a huge bathroom and good TV service. We had a view of Lisbon and were across from some apartments that had a unique teepee-shaped structure on the top ... interesting to look at. We had a cheeseburger from room service that was simply delicious. We also visited the restaurant for dinner and we don't recommend it: other reviewers mentioned slowwwwww service, and that was definitely the case. My steak was undercooked, but OK when the waiter brought it back. They seemed quite understaffed in the restaurant. The breakfast restaurant, on the other hand, was great! Huge selection, pleasant staff ... just wonderful. The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated and had early-morning coffee service. There is a little market about a block away where one can buy bottled water and snacks, if desired. And the front desk staff was eager to assist. We needed help printing out some documents and the staff could not have been more helpful. We'd stay at the Corinthia again.

Room Tip: Floors 15 and 20 are smoking floors, and they do have a tobacco odor.
