I would like to make several comments about this hotel. First, the location was convenient for our needs as we had come to Lisbon for the Optimus Alive festival. A metro stop is just outside the hotel and we took this to the train and to our final destination of Algés. The breakfast is basic, fine for our needs, but if you require an elaborate selection I suggest you go elsewhere. I do have a complaint about the false advertising. The online photos are not accurate. Apparently they are simply the plans - for renovation. But there is NO GYM.This is listed, not only in the write up but there is a photo of the nonexistent fitness room. I chose this hotel based on this amenity and was quite disappointed there was no gym.

On the positive side, although not in the middle of things, this hotel was convenient for moving around Lisbon and the staff was friendly and competent. I must highlight one employee in particular who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Roni checked us in upon our late arrival and was still working the following morning when my daughter and I had an issue with concert tickets in Lisbon. I was quite upset and although this had nothing to do with the hotel, he went out of his way to help us find a solution. And when I thanked him, he simply said, "I am just doing my job." I truly appreciated the help I received and for this reason alone I would return to this hotel.

The location is terrible, because this part of the city is known as not very safe at night. Anyway if you are looking for a cheap option but you should avoid after getting dark.

There´s some transports alternatives just a few meters from the hotel, but no attractions around.

The breakfast is basic, but acceptable.

The decor is old and the cleanness acceptable, for a 3 stars hotel.

For a single night or two can be acceptable if you don´t demand too much from it, but will no be a memorable stay on a good way.

This hotel is in a good location. One thing that bothers me about the hotel is you have to go to the lobby to connect to the Internet and at times, the connection was difficult to make. I think most hotels are over that and this one should be , too.
The staff was courteous and helpful and the breakfast was just okay. The hotel is starting to wear out and is need of a facelift but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The price of a room is reasonable.

We booked this hotel on the internet and got a fantastic bargain. We wanted to visit the shops in Alicante and because it is difficult to park the car, we noticed that there was a tram stop not too far from the hotel which terminated at exactly where we wanted to be in the city.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and had a view of the sea.

We booked room only and breakfast was 9 euros each extra but there was a good selection of items and three hot dishes.

The restaurant was beautifully furnished as were all the public areas in the hotel. There were various places to sit and relax.

Wi-Fi was free if a little erractic but all in all the experience was one that we would certainly repeat. There were not many places to eat on the beach front, due probably to it being winter. However, we drove along the coast to Castello where there was a good selection of places to eat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view nearest the beach

Not the most modern hotel, but good beds, shower, service and breakfast. Close to metro stop. Bit noisy on the streetside, but no nuisance from other rooms or hallway. Good value just outside the centre.

First, staying in Almirante Hotel won't be the best experience in your life. There are too many things to improve. We were a group of 27 spanish students and two teachers, most of which were disappointed. The rooms were nice, clean and well decorated, but there were too many things that needed amend. Unforgivable mistakes in a four or five star hotel, but we knew from the start that we were choosing a cheap hotel, in a well communicated although not very aristocratic neighbourhood. Nevertheless, the staff was very helpful and we had a correct breakfast and we ate a wonderful bacalau a bras for dinner. The elevator was insufficient for so many people, but this was a minor problem. We got a good service for the money we paid. Would come back as a cheap choice to stay in wonderful Lisbon.

I arrived at this shabby hotel at 13.00hrs just to be told that check in could only be done after 14hrs , even though rooms were ready and available , those seem to be the orders from managment .The lobby looked dirty and old , def needs renovation .After waiting for an hour -- Listenning to a winging receptionist on how his boos does not pay any of the staff for the past 3 months ( which explains alot ) -- I was given a room , where the carpet was very dirty , the toilet still dirty and a very very old look to all of it ...i complained and was given another room that was as dirty as the last one .... Stayed one night and left , ad will never come back again .

Room Tip: dont stay ...none of the rooms are good
