“Should do food”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

This hotel would score higher if it did meals, it does room service but this is very expensive € 20 for a burger. Its abit out of the way off things, when i asked reception of somewhere to get food yea it was only 5.30 pm but she said i would have to go all the way into the centre which is a 20 min walk and im lazy when im hungry.
Bathroom is great, large bath and good decor. Large bed very comfy.
I wasnt happy with the location i would rather ge closer to things but that it my personal preference.
My room is on the road and traffic quite noisey starts early at 7am and wakes me up but apart from that no other noise.
My curtains dont meet properly in the middle and considering i am right on the road with a footpath outside my window i was worried people could see in.
Breakfast is great, would prefer tea making facilities due to being out of the way of cafes etc.
English channels on tv which is good for late night viewing.
Worth the price i paid £35 per night. Reception staff very friendly

I stayed here with my mother. Initially we were only staying for two nights, and then went to see the surrounding countryside, but we ended up returning to the hotel for the last night before flying home, because of the rooms and the breakfast. All very nice and clean and comfortable. Breakfast very wide and varied, lots of fruit and cheeses. Not so much warm breakfast (as a note fro those who want a full English breakfast, all warm), they had bacon and scrambled eggs (only tried the eggs, they were delicious. Staff was very friendly, from the front desk to the barman.

The hotel is about a 25min walk from the actual city centre, but it's a nice walk along a shopping street with an esplanade in the middle. Feels safe to walk even at night. For a quicker way to the centre there are three metro stations close to the hotel, one just around the corner.

Room Tip: We have tried a room on the second and one on the third floor, both very nice. There is a bit of noi...

This hotel is conveniently located in one of the capital nicest areas, close to Avenida da Liberdade. It's also close to a metro station (yellow and blue line) and there are several bus stops, namely the bus that goes to the airport.
There is also lots of restaurants and shops.
The rooms are very modern and functional.
I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. It has excellent options: fresh fruits, different types of bread, chorizo, prosciutto, cheese... Check my pics.
Great service in the front desk and breakfast. Attentive and efficient staff.

Pleasant hotel in a quiet area on the edge of the old town. Very good breakfast at E12 but did not offer other meals. However, within a very short distance there were numerous restaurants and a variety o small bars where you could mix with the locals, take a coffee or beer etc. there was no service directory in room.

My wife and I have just spent 5 days at this hotel. We chose it mainly because of its quiet location and closeness to downtown Lisbon and the restaurant areas.
It has recently undergone total renovation and name change, and now presents itself as a boutique hotel suitable for both business travellers and people, like us, wishing a comfortable base for a short stay to see Lisbon and the surrounding areas.
We found that everything from arrival to departure was excellent. The reception staff were always very helpful, even under pressure. Our room was nicely decorated, with a large bathroom and separate basin area, very comfortable beds, and because of its location, was very quiet. The only little thing was the absence of a tea/coffee maker in the room.
The breakfast buffet consisted of a good choice of cereals, fruit, breads, hot and cold drinks, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses, together with scrambled eggs and cooked ham, similar but thinner than bacon - a substantial meal before setting out to explore Lisbon, etc.
Would we go back there again? Yes, we would and will do so next year.

After much internet searching & trip advisor reviews we settled on the Exe Lisboa Parque Hotel. A little nervous as some of the reviews had not been overly complimentary, whether it is was the size of rooms, furnishings, noise levels or location. So to our surprise every concern raised vanished over our 5 night stay. The hotel was very much 4 star, with high end furnishing & fittings through out, stunning bathroom and very welcoming and helpful staff. Check-in was late (9pm) but no problem, and room 101 was a smoker to my wife's relief. The double glazing ensured the outside street noise was cut to virtually zero and the room very comfortable. The Parque is located 5 minutes from the top of the Avenida La Liberdade and all of Lisbon that flows from it (great location). The airport bus stops (for drop off & pick up) on a road above the hotel. If you are coming from the airport across the road from the bus stop is an open gated area. Go through the gate (there is a health club here) and to your right a steep set of steps that takes you down to the Hotels foyer. Easy for the fitter travellers. We decided to get a taxi from the airport as it was our first time and there were 'trippers' who warned of the difficulty of finding the hotel. It was late so we took a Lisbon Taxi's taxi (you can pre book on line and thanks to Pedro who ensured we were picked up and dropped off right outside the hotel - 20 euros was well worth it). However we took the bus back and at 5 euros, a bargain. We paid under £90 sterling for each nights stay. Great value in September at this level & location. We would always stay here in future.

Room Tip: You can get a smoking room here or ask not to be allocated one. Do contact them in advance. Be prep...

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. I had never been to Lisbon and this hotel is conveniently located near Pombal circle. While a little bit removed from the major tourist sites it was only a 20 minute walk to the major sites. I walked from here to everywhere and avoided the metro and buses though there are lots of them in the vicinity. I loved my room which was very large, nice tv, strong air conditioning, hardwood floors, large marble bathroom with huge tub, shower, bidet, etc. The hotel was extremely clean and smelled nice. There are three floors and the hallways are very wide. The breakfast was included and quite adequate with fruit, juices, coffee machine, bacon, eggs, toast, breads in abundance except for one day a tuesday when the normal staff was not there and everything was handled by one person who could not bring the food out fast enough for the piranhas who devoured everything as soon as it was set.
As I mentioned I walked everywhere and on Sunday I exhausted myself sightseeing and came back late looking for the Corte ingles three blocks away which unfortunately closed at 8pm. Lot s of places were closed and I couldnt find restaurants or stores to buy water or snacks and I was left no option but to use the room service of the hotel. Lisbon as a city is quite reasonable for restaurants - a hamburger is around 7 euros and a nice fish dinner in a decent tourist restaurant is 18 euros. But the hotel room service offers a handful of items-Pizza 15.00, hamburger 20 euros, Caeser salad with chicken around 18. I opted for a pizza and it was mediocre at 15-basically a warmed up frozen pizza. If you are a single or business traveler that needs to eat at the hotel then this would be a big disappointment. Fortunately I can recommend the Corte Ingles a large department store with huge supermarket and two floors of food court three blocks away. It is tricky getting there but the best way to go is to exit the hotel look to your right by the parking entrance and you see a tunnel go through the tunnel, stay on that street about three long blocks and then one block to the left or ask. There are not that many restaurants nearby and fewer stores. This is a very safe residential neighborhood, someone complains about the sorroundings the streets could be a little cleaner and there is a problem with the tile sidewalks in the area as the tile is prone to breaking or cracking and also seems to accumulate debris and dog waste.
One more thing about location. The airport is only 10 euros away by taxi so don't even bother with the airport bus if you have luggage. The airport bus stops three blocks away at Pompal Circle. I asked for a taxi to the airport the night before for 5am and when i got to the lobby at 4.50 the taxi was there and it cost around 11 euros. Furthermore it only took ten minutes. I heard that other hotels would set up taxi service that would charge exorbitant amounts to the airport and this is certainly not the case with this hotel. The staff is also very helpful and informative, pleasant and English speaking.

Room Tip: I stayed on the second floor facing the street and it was very quiet. The hotel is a block from a b...
