My friend and I stayed here on a B&B basis for 3 nights in April 2014. And boy are we glad we did.

The room was great. Very comfortable and roomy and had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The only drawback (and this is minor!) due to local laws no irons or kettles are allowed in the rooms.

The staff - quite possibly the best aspect of this hotel. All very friendly and obviously dedicated to providing the best service possible.

The food - on our last night we ate in the hotel restaurant. We wish we had song this every night. The food was delicious as was the wine. The waitress was lovely and gave us heartfelt and excellent advice regarding our choices. And fantastic value fir money!!

All in all if you have the opportunity to stay here grab it!!

Really good sized bedrooms, modern bathroom fully equipped. All staff very helpful. Close to the Metro so very easy to get to hotel from the airport. It took us around 15 minutes to walk into Lisbon main area through lovely park. Breakfast provided everything for every nationality, freshly prepared and constantly topped up. Nice little quiet terrace outside the bar to enjoy a glass of wine. Highly recommend hotel and Lisbon for city break holiday

Very clean in the public areas staff very friendly and accommodating.
Room spacious as was bathroom. TV with plenty UK channels. Our only complaint was the mattress was rock solid so not the most comfortable nights sleep.
Location very good choice for local transport.
Buffet breakfast 12 euro each looked very nice thou we didn't try as a very nice cafe right next door where you could have 2 coffee with 2 egg on toast for less than 5 euros.
All in all a nice hotel and would certainly recommend great value for money.

Easily reached by metro from the airport. Decent rooms and very good breakfast with even gluten free bread available. Very helpful and friendly smiling staff and nothing was too much trouble. Could do with a kettle for tea, coffee in the room and a bit more reading light over the bed would give it five stars. Fairly sized breakfast room but struggles at peak times. Very quickly replenished food.

Very nice room overlooking the front of the hotel, bathroom was clean and roomy with plenty of hot water for the shower. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the Sao Sebastiao Metro station with good links down to the centre of Lisbon. Taxi's are also very reasonably priced we found.Breakfast was excellent with a large variety from cold meats, breads, fruit, cereals etc to a cooked breakfast. A really large choice to suit any requirements also with plenty of juices, coffee and teas. No sign in the 4 days we were there, of any lack of tables which has been mentioned previously. It has a smart reception area with seating to the right and the bar to the left, not the cheapest bar prices in Lisbon but reasonable. The staff in the Real were also first class, friendly and helpful. The only compliant we had was that my wife found the bed too hard and I must admit it was maybe slightly too hard for me as well. The couple we were with also mentioned the bed in their room being a bit hard. It may be a good idea if you like a soft bed to make a enquiry about softer beds. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we were back in Lisbon. It was very good value for money. A tip we would pass on is that if in Lisbon for a few days to purchase the Lisboa card, which gives you as much free travel, on trams, metro and buses in the city and some trips outside like to Belem and Cintra. The card also gives free entry to a lot of attractions ,like the Belem Tower and the monument to the discoverers. It is also worth going to the top of these buildings for the surrounding views.

This hotel is very conveniently located. There are 2 metro stations in a walking distance. Rooms are large and clean, staff is absolutely great. There's a wifi in the room.
I stayed there for my 40th birthday and when I came back to the room in the evening I found a bottle of champagne and a cake. It was a really nice gesture! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for a great stay.

We would definitely return to the Real Palacio or the other hotels in the chain. My husband, I and another couple loved the charming atmosphere, sumptuous delicious breakfast buffet including everything, many homemade delicacies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 7:30am and they made us very comfortable until our room was ready. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, including all the bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable. We had a large room close to the elevator, overlooking the courtyard. It was bright, comfortable and we loved it. Large bathroom, good closet space. We have no complaints whatever. We have told everyone how wonderful it is and recommend it highly. We love the cosy livingrooms where we could socialize with our friends. We prefer the charm of Real Palacio to a huge hotel which could be anywhere. I loved walking the narrow streets and we took all four hop-on hop-off buses, which allowed us to see all the sights of Lisbon. We bought our tickets at the hotel.
Thank You to the wonderful staff of Real Palacio for a great first trip to Lisbon. We shall return.

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the courtyard, around the corner from the elevator and our room...
