Nice, clean and spacious hotel.
The breakfast was excellent.
The parking is 9 euros/day. Be very careful when you are driving down, it is very narrow.
Now, this can not be a 5 star hotel. It is a nice one but 3 stars would be just fine.

If you are looking for luxury, this hotel wont suit you - its pretty basic hotel in an essy to access location and with a price that should be affordable. It however doesnt have a five star feel to it, if that is what you are looking for.

Hotel itself is comfortable, with ok breakfast, but its star rating is misleading: it does have quality beds, it has a restaurant (empty one, as you might have guessed), it does have a spa (jacuzzi out of order, didnt test the sauna) - but mostly all this is damaging the experience of being a guest, because you sense they are pretending to be something they are not, And that us damaging, since instead of providing high quality services, the staff is mostly pretending to work in a place that provides high quality services to very important people.

But uf you get past that you get a basic three/low four star hotel with an affordable price - you get what you pay for.

Wifi promised to work in all rooms and hotel areas. It does not; We had to change rooms, because we were handed a room smaller than booked for - wifi didnt work on the new room. And that is the picture of the whole hotel. - not quite living up the promises, but since i did pay only three star price, they recieve a three star rating from me.

Spent 3 lovely nights in the Real Palacio and cannot be negative about the hotel and staff. However, they had a happy hour promotion on during our stay from 17:00 to 19:00 where beers and soft drinks were half price. When paying €6 for a beer and €4 for a soft drink it was most welcome. That was until we got the bill!. They do not automatically reduce the prices....you have to ask! This is petty and could be embarrassing for some people so i would suggest the hotel either removes the offer or honours it. It has reduced their score to a 4

We stayed for 1 week with our 15 year old teenage daughter at the end of May. Very spacious room even with 3 of us. Staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful, even printing vouchers for open top bus trip that we booked online.
Breakfasts were consistently excellent. We didn't eat a main meal there so couldn't comment on that but used the sauna and steam room and gym several times during our stay. These were in good clean condition with fantastic showers and excellent changing facilities.
We were a little disappointed that the hot tub was out of service Turing our stay as it looked superb.
Position of hotel in quiet area of the city was superb, only 10 mins walk from metro station. Used the car park, which was very narrow to access when we hired a car. And this was average cost of €9 per day.
Lots of reasonable priced restaurants and cafés nearby.
Would highly recommend for all visitors from business guests to families of all ages.
Our room overlooked a quiet side street and was very comfortable indeed.

We visited Lisbon back in 2009 for 4 days while on our Spain vacation. Portugal was added to our trip (we came here from Malaga Spain headed to Madrid, our last stop) in order to hang out with one of our best friends and it did not disappoint. Our friend recommended Real Palacio and he was correct in that we would not want to leave. The hotel sits right in the heart of Lisbon and made it very easy for us to come and go each day. From here, you can walk all around the city. There is a terrific little restaurant that sits directly across the street on the corner and is worth trying. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and made our check in process very easy. The rooms were terrific, spacious and modern with central air/heat. This is a very nice looking hotel. We took the time to just walk around it and it is very well maintained. We caught a really good price on Expedia when we booked and tied it to our flight that connected Malaga-Lisbon-Madrid. A wonderful hotel with a central location.

We went to this hotel for a Valentines weekend, the hotel was full but the service was fabulous.
The double bedroom had a large comfortable bed good size bathroom and overall the room was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and although the hotel was full the service level was not compromised.
The hotel is well located close to the Metro at Corte Inglais and the modern art museum. We did walk into the city but I wouldn't suggest it unless you are a good distance walker, the metro is cheap and very good. We got the metro from the airport to the Corte Inglais stop and it was a short walk to the hotel..
The main thing I want to say about this hotel is the staff, everyone was very very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, if you want to stay in Lisbon then I would definitely recommend the Real Palacio.

This hotel is very good value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Bar area is very pleasant for pre-dinner drinks and the breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice of foods. Location is fine as long as you enjoy some walking. Metro stations relatively close by - 10 minute walk. Useful little supermarket just on the next block too which was handy. Only criticism would be that the bed was very hard indeed. The hotel might want to invest in some soft mattress covers but aside from that, would certainly recommend this as a pleasant place to stay.
