The apartment is very nice, clean, fully equipped and perfectly located. I spent 5 nights there and that was my fourth time in Lisbon. Joana is the perfect host and welcomed us with typical portugues cakes and wine! The Bairro Alto is the heart of Lisbon and if you are looking for fun , music, restaurants You have found the perfect apartment. Just one thing to remind: as it is the quarter of students sleeping before 2 a.m is not very easy.

Stayed here with my family Christmas week, and loved it! The apartment is just like in the photos. Very clean. The two double beds were comfortable. It was perfect for the 4 of us. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the apartment in the center of the Bairro Alto which is the liveliest of Lisbon's bar/restaurant/nightlife areas. The streets below the apartment are full of partying people till early morning, and from the small "balconies" you can absorb the vibrant atmosphere. Once we went to bed, and the streets outside were still full of people, the solid windows and shutters kept most of the noise out, and since it was winter we kept the windows closed. Kitchen and washing machine, wifi all functional. Our host, Joana, was so helpful. We arrived late Christmas eve and she had prepared a wonderful traditional Portuguese Christmas dinner for us. Her aunt had made a fantastic cod casserole..wine, cheese... pastries - we were off to a great start.
