First of all: the hotel is a good choice for a 4 star city-hotel. Well located (close to the subway and the central Avenida da Liberdade), good breakfast and all other typical aspects of a 4 star hotel. Besides, the cost value relation is really good.

However, the central location brings a problem which is the noise. So, you should watch out for the room choice (below).

Room Tip: The front of the hotel is a busy avenue (even in the evenings). So, give preference to rooms to the back. You should also pay attention to the floor. If you do not like air-conditioning and prefer to sleep with opened window you should chose a room up to the 7th floor otherwise you will need to hear the constant noise of the 8-storey nearby building (also a Sana hotel) exhaustion system. If for you the decisive factor is a city view, then you should get a room above the 8th floor.

In Dec 2007 we arrived at the hotel and had a lot of problems with the rooms. The first had a broken air conditioner, the second had a broken safe and the third one was on a smoking floor. Finally, they put us on an executive floor with no extra cost and thankfully we had a nice stay in Lisbon
The hotel is located near Marques de Pombal subway station - an important hub of Lisbon's underground. From there is not far from the touristic attractions
There's a TAP office near the hotel too
Enjoy your stay!

Located just a few minutes walk away from the centre of Lisbon and if you wish to go down to the river a taxi Will get you there very quickly. I would suggest finding somewhere to eat closer to the centre than the river as the food is better and slightly cheaper.

The hotel - don't let the main road outside put you off, I didn't hear it once from inside my room. The service from the staff is good and there is also a shop in the lobby area (its not 24hr).

Room - Clean, tidy and what you would expect. The blackout blinds truly do work as they aided me in 2 nights great sleep, while you could hear the aircon it wasn't loud and kept the room at an even temperature

I have been using the Sana Lisboa for the last year for both business and personal. For business thye staff have been amazingly helpfull, putting themselves out to satisfy our every need. Joana and Philipa deserve special mention.
The hotel is modern and professionally operated. The rooms are quite spacious with standard mod coms except for coffee and tea making facilities.
Each time I have stayed here I have tended to be on one of the higher floors with a view across to Parque Eduardo VII.
The location is very convenient, with the airport AeroBus stop just outside the hotel and a Metro at Marques de Pombal within about 150m.
There is WiFi throughout the hotel at 10 euro per day for those who need it.
As for food, the breakfasts are of a very good standard with a good selction of fresh fruits, cold meats, hot breakfast items (sausage, scrambled and fried eggs, etc.), pastries, breads, etc. Add to this one (or two) glass(es) of a very pleasant Cava and you are set for the day either for work or sightseeing.
For dinner, there is a restaurant which I have used just once. The food: a delicious cucumber gespacho, followed by an excellent piece of grouper and accompanied by an excellent house white wine and coffee came to 30 euros per person - quite reasonable for the standard of food.
Whenever in Lisbon, I and my company will continue to frequent the Sana Lisboa.

Room Tip: All rooms are good but for the best view ask for the highest floor available, preferably in the front which affords the better view.
