We stayed with friends in this apartment. It was spacious and comfortable. It opens up to the square which makes for great enjoyment of the activities. We were there during the festival. Much fun. The bedrooms were well insulated so sleeping was not interrupted. The showers were hot and plenty. The kitchen was well appointed. The owners provide a wonderful array of utensils and kitchen ware. Two grocery stores are within walking distance. The restaurants are wonderful and many. Taxis, trams, buses and trains are available within a short walking distance. The gelato shop is to die for. The other tenants in the building were most friendly. We had a delicious time there and cannot wait to come back.
This apartment was perfect for my needs of splitting time between working and vacationing over five weeks. In addition to what my wife has stated, this apartment provided a daily view of a beautiful and lively square as well as the function of a strong and consistent wifi. We loved every part of our stay and are already making plans to return. Thanks so much Susana and Filipa.
They say location, location, location is everything, but that is where this apartment begins. It is close to everything, transportation, the river front, wonderful restaurants, shopping and sightseeing.
TRAM 25 stops right out front, the Cais Do Sodre Ferry, Metro station is about 2 blocks away. From here you can go to anywhere is Lisbon, the ferry will take you across the river and the trains will take you to Belem and to the beach. You are within walking distance (or you can take a bus) to Rossio Station to get to Sintra.
The apartment is beautiful, well decorated with great attention to every detail. It is fully furnished – plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans. Everything you need to cook, but why cook with all the great restaurants just outside your door. Equipped with dishwasher, microwave, 4 burner stove top and oven, toaster, French Coffee Press, single cup coffee maker, washer and dryer , just bring your bags and move right in.
Both Susana and her sister Filipa are easy to work with, they are profession, and friendly. They responded quickly and have an answer to your questions. They can help you set up day trips, recommend restaurants and shopping. I loved working with them.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Lisbon and to one of their wonderful properties.
We had a great time, the apartment was absolutely wonderful, nicely decorated, very clean Suzanne came over and explained everything to us and greeted us with a bottle of wine. It is located close to the fabulous market where the food stalls are out of this world. On the corner is the best gelato place outside of Italy. The only negative was the noise from outside, they party every night till 3 or 4 am except when it rains ! Just bring ear plugs and it will be fine. The apartment is worth it
This is a lovely, light, spacious apartment with all mod cons. Overlooking a lively square with good restaurants, cafes and bars on the doorstep - including the now very popular Time Out market. It's an ideal base for exploring the city and beyond, 5 mins walk from one of the two main stations, the ferry and a taxi rank. The host, Susana, is a lovely lady with excellent knowledge of the city and plenty of good suggestions for the first time visitor. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We shall return!
A lovely bright, light apartment (even in December). It is spacious, spotlessly clean and was perfect in every way. The view over the square as the sun was setting, was stunning. The apartment is on the 1st floor and although there is no lift, my 88 year old mother-in-law had no trouble getting up and down the stairs.
Everything about this apartment was convenient and made for a very comfortable stay. There is a mini supermarket almost opposite, an excellent bakery around the corner and a restaurant underneath. The owners/managers were lovely and provided lots of good and helpful advice.
The public transport system in Lisbon is superb. The apartment is a two minute walk from the Cais do Sodre railway station where you can get the metro, buses, trams, trains, ferries and taxis to pretty much anywhere you would wish to go (Tip: Get a Zapping card from the railway station, works like an Oyster card, reduced fares on all public transport, but can top up with as little as 3 euros).
Would I recommend this to others? Definitely!
