I stayed 3 nights at this place, apt 2D. It was one of the best accommodation this trip. The check in was easy, the manager is very friendly and helpful. Apartment is spacious, equipped with pretty much anything you need. The service is off a hotel service, the housekeeper comes in everyday to clean. It is also conveniently located, walking distance to the metro and tram stations. Very close to Chiado, the shopping district. I will definitely come back here when I come back to Lisbon. I would recommend this apartment to anyone with no hesitation.

We loved our one week stay at Casas da Baixa! The superior one bedroom apartment was very nice and clean. Just around the corner there is a good bakery/coffee house. The central location is great! Also the light is amazing in this city. If we had questions we were just one e-mail or phone call away from the owners. They were really friendly, always answered our questions and did make our vacation pleasant. You must taste the fresh fish in the Portuguese restaurants and listen to the Fado music in the typical bars. We recommend you also a 1 or 2 day visit of Sintra (30km away by train).

Stayed here for 4 nights in the corner studio on the second floor with my partner. Apartment is spacious, very clean and the location is perfect. From the apartment you can walk to all the main attractions. A lady cleans the apartment every day and brings clean towels which is not in every rental aparment, a big plus for that.
Jules and Mariana were very nice and quick to respond any of our questions by e-mail. The wifi has a good connection and the only reason for a 4* rating instead of a 5* are the beds (very hard for us, had a bruise on my right hip after 4 nights).

Every review I write, I always look forward to bad ones, at least I avoid superlatives. However places like Casas da Baixa, I can't help but pepper my narrative with such. It's at the foot of Castelo St. George, right next to the sea, the neighborhood is quiet, and whats more is that there is a medieval themed pub right outside the door.

The owner, i forget her name, but she's this bombshell of a proprietress, sashays around the apartment helping out her guests. Once she found a a lipbalm i dropped and went around asking whose it was. AND she bought my whole family Pastel de Nata. Maybe it is her job to keep her guests happy but she does a good job.

The place is clean, beautifully minimalist, airconditioning is available, the utensils are complete, you can cook, bake, and wash.

So, don't come here if good service, clean sheets, and a good night's rest isn't your cup of tea.

Room Tip: ask for the rooms with a veranda.

We rented a two bedroom two bathroom apartment here. The location was great but the apartment was even better. Definitely value for money. Really clean, nicely styled and really spacious. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with and we would definitely stay here again. It was great to come back to this place every night. The only thing missing was an iron but we had our own anyway.
