It was my first visit to Lisbon and for business and I was nervous. I booked in Ibis because my earlier experiences have been good. I chose this hotel only because it was close to Oriente Station and since I was reaching early Sunday morning I did not want to waste time to explore the city. Also I had only Sunday to explore as next 2 days were going to be hectic for business.

TripAdvisor showed some interesting tourist destinations around so I chose this hotel. I was not disappointed about my selection of the hotel in terms of the Room, Ambience, Location and proximity to Oriente and also Airport. The nearby places of interest like Lisbon Oceanarium, Parque das Nacoes, Arena, Vasco da Gama Shopping Mall and the River Front are all walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes and can be covered in 1 day. So my Sunday was spent fruitfully as a tourist.

It's a 2 star hotel so price is high in this regard (68 euro per night). But it was worth it for me as I requested a room on 7th floor with river view and the lady at reception accommodated me.

The breakfast though was a sore point for me. It mentioned on their website it serves Continental Breakfast. I assumed it included Eggs or Egg preparations. However it was not so. The spread was good but with Eggs it would have been complete.

Overall my experience of the hotel was very good and I would rate 8.5 on a scale if 10. If they include Eggs in breakfast then it would become 10 out of 10.

Thanks
Rajeev

I stayed for 2 nights in this Ibis chain hotel while in Lisbon on a weekend while on a business trip to Portugal . Since some one in Portugal made my booking in advance and I had very limited time available in Lisbon, I had no choice but to stay there. First of all the location of this hotel is absolutely wrong for travellers as it is far away from the main city centre but close to the airport. This hotel is located in the newly built business district. The only option for tourists is to take a ' Yellow line' bus and go to the city centre or take a one day pass to visit all the attractions. The rooms are quite small with very minimum amenities. The breakfast is also very average and offers hardly any options. Although the staff at reception is quite helpful in guiding you to travel in the city it is not worth staying in this hotel as near the city centre area there are plenty of hotels available so that not much time is wasted in travelling. Only positive is that near to the hotel is a big shopping mall ' Vasco Da Gama' which offers extensive options in eating and shopping.

We stayed here when we where flying out. A nice clean hotel with nice staff in a good spot, near the shops and the train station with restaurant across the road and near the river. We would stay again when we come back to Lisbon.

When I told my friend that I stayed at the Ibis in Lisbon, he started laughing. I did not know they had the reputation for sketchy properties. I found this one to be excellent for the price class. The place was new, spotlessly clean and had good service. the rooms were a little small but certainly serviceable. The breakfast was adequate.

Hotel is well located, new, friendly staff, nice facilities. It is a Ibis, so rooms are small (but confortable) and breakfast is poor. Price/quality ratio is excellent, except for breakfast - 6€ for that is very expensive...

Lisbon, as usual, spoils you for choice with excellent quality hotels at bargain prices. The hotel we use the most (across the road from Ibis) had the same price (being a 4 star), but this time I decided to opt for Ibis as it offered wi-fi and I fancied having wi-fi in the room. That was all.

Our normal hotel was well below price, this one was within the normal price range for Ibis, I think.

We liked the room. The bathroom not so much as it looks like a train toilet. All very plastic looking too, but hey... it's Ibis. It's cheap. It's clean. It's REALLY OK. (If you want more towels and more bathroom for your money, turn right up the road.

Where it all went pear shape was when we were woken at at 3.30AM by a loud fire siren sounding all over the hotel and bedrooms. As it persisted, people started to come out of their rooms in their pyjamas. Still, we just stood there staring at each other for a while as if waiting that someone had the answer (if it were a real fire we'd not have made it, being that we were on the last floor and very reluctant to move).

Eventually, we decided to head for the stairs slowly only to find a very embarrassed receptionist apologising to people saying it was a false alarm due to some incident in the kitchen.

Off people went, back to their rooms, shaking their heads in disbelief.

Note to self: take a nice pyjama next time. You just never know.

Muito boa tarde,

Muito agradeço o tempo que dedicou para o seu comentário.
De facto surgiu um pequeno problema em sala de pequeno almoço que levou a que o alarme geral entrasse em activo.

Lamentamos sinceramente o transtorno causado.
Melhores cumprimentos.
