This is a new hotel - just about two months old and doing very well. The reason is simple - it is a very charming hotel in the Alfama neighbourhood. Their staff are fantastic and always smiling/welcoming. Rita was a great help especially. This is a off beat hotel - does not have a classic reception, does not have large rooms for food etc. But that is what I most like about this place - it is like a really large cool home! We were in the terrace room overlooking Rio Tejo. Fabulous views and great to have breakfast while watching the sun rise or a drink watching the sun set. This is a design inspired hotel so all is white and minimalistic. The tram 28 is just on the main road outside and all sights and sounds are ten minutes away. Fabulous location. Three things could be better - the wine bar could serve some more substantial tapas (choice is limited and is finger food), they should have a tea/coffee in the rooms or common area and the rooms could be a shade bigger (guess this can't change much!).
Great stay. Highly recommended.
