“needs updating”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

This hotel is convenient for the parque de nacaos and easy access to the sea front, mall, cable car and restaurants and bars. However the hotel itself needs some updating the décor in the main areas is very dark and old fashioned red and black. The room lighting was poor, there wasn't a seat by the mirror for doing make up and the magnifying mirror in bathroom was broken and couldn't be pulled away from wall, tv didn't work, phone didn't work, wake up call functionality on phone didn't work, pillows were lumpy. No water or any other drinks in room. That said, the aircon was very effective and also quiet and the room I had was quiet as well with no street noise.
The bar is just a few tables on the mezzanine floor with a grumpy waiter.
Breakfast is mediocre and served in a dark banqueting room with large round tables like you would find at a gala dinner.
I wouldn't stay here again unless it was very convenient.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room not one overlooking the train tracks or main road

I think this hotel was build for the World Expo in 1998. Large hotel with large rooms. We had a former smoking room, but it was very close to public transport. We had 6 railway tracks just outside our window!
nice breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for at room with sea view.

I stayed here one night to meet my daughter who was flying in to Lisbon early in the morning. This hotel is only 2 blocks to the train station and a very easy walk with luggage. Checkin was very quick. The room was very quite. The only restaurant does not open until 7 pm for dinner which was inconvenient for someone who likes to eat earlier and in the morning the coffee shop was not open even though they posted sign stating they open at 6 am. There is a mall directly across from the train station and a food court to get a quick bite. The room was a little rough but clean. The bed was extremely hard....like sleeping on a piece of plywood. I did end up taking pillows placing them on the mattress and sleeping on them. Not very comfortable at all. The location is close to the airport and train station but there is not much else interesting in the area.
I would not stay again mainly due to the rock hard beds.

Modern, clean, and well appointed. We got two attached rooms for a good rate. Normal breakfast - nice staff, cheap parking, easy walk to the oceanarium, Vasco da Gama Shopping Mall, and Metro. 10 Minutes to the airport, a short walk to train station

Room Tip: 5 euros to park

Good location. Near the station and good access to the airport. Really a business hotel and conference place in the area of expo site. Little soul as lots of grey concrete and modern design. Solid free wifi. Reasonable price. Beware the beds are extremely firm. Rooms area fairly large and clean but in need of a decoration and perhaps replacing the TVs which are somewhat dated. Not bad but neither exceptional in any area.

Good business hotel near airport Room has everything that you need and was very spacious. Mine had a fine view over the River Tagus. Beds a little hard. Wifi works well There are some shops and cafes / restaurants nearby and I would recommend "The Fifties" American diner. Breakfast was a disappointment and coffee was awful! Staff friendly and welcoming

There is nothing VIP or Executive about this hotel!

Shower was a dribble and constantly went from scalding hot to freezing cold.

Beds were very hard and extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on concrete. Woke up with hip pain during the night.

Rooms are very dark with no essentials and tv was like something out of the dark ages.

Breakfast is disgusting and the only thing that was edible was the toast!

Poor location in terms of surrounding restaurants. Everything is burgers and fast food. I would definitely recommend going into the city centre for a different experience.

Staff were friendly and pleasant.
