“The very modern side of Lisbon.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

This area was built for Expo in 1998! It's full of modern buildings and former pavilions from the expo.. The largest aquarium in Europe is located here! There's also many great restaurants & clubs in the area!

Only worth seeing if you wish to see the more so modern side of Lisbon.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

We took the short train ride from central Lisbon up to this park, primarily because it looked to have some very interesting photographic opportunities......but there is much more.
After arriving at the impressive station & walking through the shopping centre we emerged into the park.
It took the best part of half a day to wander around the park, strolling around the area & looking at the various sites/structures. We took the cable car which runs from one end to the other, over the water so we had an excellent view of the park, had a peep at the 5* hotel at the far end, partly converted from an oil refinery structure, also good views of the impressive Vasco da Gama bridge.
It was mid week, so quiet and relaxed, a nice break from the hustle/bustle of the city.

“park of fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

This site is wonderful for families and couples alike. You can arrive from the metro and walk through the shopping centre to the park. The park itself houses a number of attractions including the Oceania. Groups of school children visit to learn about the sea so queues can be long. The cable car is a bargain at 4.50 Euros for a single trip.
There are a range of restaurants along the strip and a boating lake as well as bike hire. fun for all the family even the grown ups.
