If you like sightseeing, eating in great restaurant and going out for drinks this is your hotel. It is in the middle of everything for nightlife and also centerally located to all the sights. The tram for the Alfama stops right in front (or you can walk) and the tram for Belem stops right down the hill.

The staff was very friendly and informative and recommended excellent restaurants. The rooftop bar is wonderful.

Good restaurant, small and intimate with an imaginative menu. The bedrooms were well appointed but the bathroom a bit small. Good value.

We stayed in this hotel from September 21 to 24 (3 nights). We had an early arrival and the room was not free yet. But the reception noted my mobile number and promised to call us as soon as the room would be available. Luggage was safely stored away and when we came back, the luggage was already in our room. Also when leaving, they jump out the door to call a taxi for you. This is the example of the excellent and very friendly service you can expect from the young team. Also the location is excellent, in walking distance of all major "attractions" (except for Belem, which is out of town). Even the famous streetcar 28 passes by the hotel and a stop is at the corner. Breakfast is super, what can I say more. A 10 / 10 score, you will not be disappointed.

Spent one night 9/16/10 at Bairro Alto Hotel before catching flight home. Great location to explore walking/shopping district and cafes to watch the world go by. Very friendly and professional service at front desk and by bellman at check in. Very nice room on 2nd floor facing side street, no street noise at night. The rooftop bar serving light lunch has awesome views; we went back for pre-dinner drinks and found the same good vibes. fine dining restaurant was sold out but front desk reserved our table at nearby locals place that used to be a bakery, just a block away, where we had great dinner. Had a GREAT find after dinner at 11pm at "Cork & Co," a great store with natural cork products - bracelets, handbags, hats, etc. We had to leave hotel at 6:15 and they opened breakfast for us early, we just had jiuce and coffee but the buffet was beautiful.

An amazing experience from check-in to check-out. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, yet personable staff. Perfect location for exploring the city. Culdn't recommend this small andluxurious place more. A true gem in historic Lisbon.
