Little neighbourhood Brazilian place, not in tourist city centre, which like other reviewers, I went to as it was near my hotel, my feet hurt and the reviews sounded pretty ok:-) it is in fact lovely and with very charming hosts - despite several larger groups in a very small restaurant, they found me a wonderful glass of Douro that was supposed to be only available by the glass, talked me through the menu and generally made me feel very wanted. As an often lone female business traveller, I can testify this does not always happen, especially in southern Europe. The food was great and made me nostalgic for Rio ( which I had visited the previous summer). The apple crumble, rich with butter and cinammon, was a real surprise! I would definitely go back!

This was near my hotel in a pretty quiet part of town. I'd heard it was really a "one-trick pony," but I'd say it was a pretty tasty 'trick!' As other reviews state, the basic meal includes extremely flavorful strips of steak cooked to your liking, yummy black beans, rice (mine was a little dry, only complaint, really) and a cute baked potato with a little cream sauce. They had a good well-priced wine selection as well. I got there just after they opened (dining does start on the later side in Lisbon!) so was the only one in the small tiled dining room; my waiter wasn't overly attentive but everyone was very nice. I enjoyed it very much!

Lovely old Portugese blue and white tiles adorn a small, homely restaurant. You walk straight off the (quiet) street into a room of 10 or so tables. The service is friendly, the menu simple and the steak - which is strips of thin steak cooked to your liking rather than a solid hunk of steak - with some simple sides - all good. The wine is well priced and fine. The deserts nice and the cheese very good. A nice solid every day restaurant you would go back to but probably not for a special occasion.

If you like great steak and brilliant cocktails at a reasonable price then you must go here. The steak is melt in the mouth tender and served with black beans with a great depth of flavour, very fluffy white rice and little jacket potatoes with a lovely dollop of sour cream. The service was attentive and polite.
