We really enjoyed our short stay in this hotel, it's well kitted out with all the mod cons in the room, including a reasonable sized gym & pool. It's about a 20 minute walk to more central areas but there's also the option of public transport.More

The room was great very new age with a comfy bed awesome shower,its about 10 mins from the center via a cab which the hotel will book for you costing about €5 .
There is a nice bar area on the 1st and ground floor and pleanty of lounging areas
I would recomend this hotel for people wanting to explore the town

I've never stayed in a place like this before, and unless I come back I don't think I ever will (and that's a good thing!).
The room design was unique in that the shower and toilet are in their own glass cylindrical "pods" if you will - maybe not the best for a family haha but I was by myself so it didn't matter much to me. The room itself is controllable via an app and buttons throughout the room - nice touch! I especially enjoyed the electric blackout curtains.
The lobby was complete with a bar, food items for purchase, and lounge seating. At night there is an in-house DJ which was cool. The pool and saunas are open 24/7 which was great - I went for a dip alone at midnight which was a fun experience!
The hotel is at a good location on the Saldanha metro station, a 20-minute ride to the airport and a 10-minute ride to the city center. If you want a hotel that is in the center of all the action downtown, this is not it. But I thought it was a nice balance between being close to town and being in a lively, yet quieter area.
My stay was lovely and if I'm in Lisbon again I'll be back!

I stayed in Evolution Hotel 4 nights in December 2018. I really liked this place - very fancy inside, I mean, not just hi-tech room and amenities, but also the approach to the hotel management, e.g. unusual, but very convenient reception service, 24/7 reasonably priced bar at the first 2 levels (nice burgers and beer by the way), iMacs access (free of charge to the guests).
There was also a free 24/7 access to the top floor sports and relaxation amenities such as an indoor pool (large enough to swim), a gym with smart weighting machines, steam bath and a large sauna with panoramic view.
The room view over the Saldanha square was great, and as I was travelling alone I did not experience any inconvenience with the toilet or shower cabin.
The location of the hotel is great too - next to the metro station and close enough to the downtown attractions just to walk there if you are in the mood :)
What I didn't like much (really minor grievances) was the carpet in the room (a little bit sticky) and the sauna temperature (it was warm, instead of being hot - say, 80 degrees Celcius instead of 110)
As a summary, I would strongly recommend this hotel to the open minded (not too conservative) guests who are looking for a reasonably priced modern hotel in a good location with a great set of amenities

Stayed here for 3 nights.
On the whole, a Lovely hotel, quirky rooms, but a little on the small side. The WC and shower are pods in the room make the room, however, at the end of the day the room would fill up with a slight musty smell from the shower. So we kept the window open whilst we were out to help it air out.
A bit disappointing was the lack of tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Would’ve expected that as a standard in a four star hotel. Bed was nice and comfy, memory foam like mattress.
The lady that checked us in was lovely and welcoming. To be fair, all the staff were lovely, smily and welcoming. The bar was nice and very well stocked. Good cocktails.
Had breakfast here on the last morning as we needed to be at the airport early. Great selection of hot and cold food in the buffet. Pre book the day before to get a discount.
Location was good, right next the metro (the red line goes straight to the airport and only takes 20 mins). A couple of nice restaurants close by too.

With Being in our fifties we are definitely not hip and cool , but we got this hotel big time . Funky comes to mind with the Evolution Hotel . We loved everything about this place .
We had been staying in another 4star hotel in the area , but we wandered in to buy a drink from the hotel bar , and loved the place . After doing a bit of research on the internet, we checked out of our other hotel and into the Evolution. We loved its quirkinesses ( even the toilet ) so be warned ,if your planing to take your new girlfriend here , you may have to make other plans, with toilet situation 😂
The rooms are a techies dream , from the blinds you can control from your phone , to the Bluetooth link you can make to your phone or iPad .
If your looking for a traditional hotel , your’ll be disappointed..... if your looking for something a bit different and off piste, your’ll love this place .
