Apart from the fact that Sonya made me feel like her long lost dear friend, the perfect host, the apartment is close to everthing necessary for a successful holiday! And mention must be made of the welcome wine, water and juice...the kitchen had the necessary stuff for cooking.
I'll elaborate...it's close to transportation (bus and tram stops), a supermarket (Lidl, and small grocery shops), cafes an restaurants a stone's throw away and taxis are available just outside the front door! The bonus was the walkway behind the apt that led to one of those sightseeing spots overlooking the city (I've forgotten what they're called).
Now for the apartment...4br, more than enough space for the 4 persons in my group, clean, well equipped kitchen with all the modern appliances (keurig, toaster, microwave, blender, etc), balcony with a gas grill, towels and blankets for those chilly nights sipping wine on the balcony, and everything worked. Two bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms with dbl beds, the other 2 had single beds, suitable for children.
We were also provided with booklets and given suggestions for activities in Lisbon.
So, would I return, yes, and recommend to friends, yes!
Brilliant apartment. Amazing 6 night stay.
Thank you Sonya!
Location: the flat is in Anjos. Listen: the streets in this area are very cliffy. You need 10 Minutes to the green line underground. From the airport use the underground. Taxi costs 19 EUR. For food better support the local dealers as sucking Lidl. We favorite the little shop on the place above. Down the street you reach the busses 712 and 731 and the E28. Thats very helpful because walking is no alternative. The terrace stands by the school. If you use the terrace for breakfast make sure that the kids makes some noise if school paused. Near by the flat you can find a point of view for sundowners ;-). Follow the dogs ... In sum the location is central but not proper for elderly people.
Flat: we where 5 people from 12 to 81 and uses 3 of the rooms. the furniture are modern (see the pictures, most of them from IKEA). It was very clean! Dinnerware is not enough for 8 people but for 4 or 5. The living room is very nice. 2 of the rooms are more for kids. We don´t check the washmaschine and the climate and tv and the barbecue but the whirlpool ;-).
Sonya: she´s a little sunshine.
We spent 5 nights in June in this well-equipped spacious apartment. Upon our arrival we had a warm welcome by Sonya. She also gave us plenty of information.
You’ll find everything you need to make your own breakfast or even lunch or dinner. There’s also a barbecue on the terrace. We preferred others to do the job because you’ll find a variety of restaurants in Lisbon some in walking distance.
The apartment is close to a viewpoint that gives you a nice overlook. Easy access, only 5 minutes.
You have to know that the apartment is on top of a steep hill and there is no elevator to access to the second floor. We went there with my parents in law 82 and 86 years old and we managed to enjoy our stay. Take your time to climb the stairs. There’s a subway station 500 meters downhill and we used Uber on our way back. The rides across town are fairly inexpensive and if you don’t agree with their price politics feel free to give the driver an extra our take a taxi. With these precautions you will find the ideal base for your excursions for your group or family. We can only recommend the place and the nie and friendly owner.
Just spent a five night break with the family to celebrate my husbands special birthday in this amazing apartment in Lisbon. Everything was as described, if not better. Plenty of room for a large family or group of friends, good quality and comfortable furniture and furnishings with great design features to compliment its style. Sonya, the manager of the apartment was truly wonderful, great communication from the get-go, very informative and she even organised a surprise birthday cake for me! We were lucky enough to have super warm weather for February so was able to take advantage of the great patio area with beautiful views out over Lisbon. The metro is an eight minute walk so you are soon into the heart of the city, although there are a number of local restaurants nearby if you decide not to make use of the excellent kitchen area. All in all a beautiful apartment in a beautiful city, don't hesitate! Sonya, thanks once again.
The apartment is well equipped and in a good location to visit the city. Behind the building there is a viewpoint with a nice view over the city. Organisation was uncomplicated and we had a very pleasant welcome. We can highly recommend the accomodation to everyone who wants to visit the city.
