I had never tasted something that flavour before. Definitely a must visit if you around. Popular, tasty, central. Well done!

Croquette was really salty and overpriced for 4€ per piece.
Only positive was getting a table+seat in the market place.

This place basically don't give you many choices. You'll get Pasteis de Bacalhau (Codfish Cake with Serra da Estrela Cheese). The place is stylish with a modern antique interior. You'll see how they make the codfish cakes the traditional way. A good experience, though you'll find this dish cheaper and as good around your travel in Portugal. But they are serving a package of experience, well worth the quick stop on your way. I love the cakes, but maybe not for everyone's palate, so try it before ordering more?

I got trapped like everyone else that has gone here. Overpriced for what it is, and yes I know, bacalhau is salty. I'm Italian, I know this... But the pasteis with cheese and bacalhau is equivalent to sticking your head into a salt mine.

On top of that, just not even good flavour. The cheese also lacked flavour and the breading was bland.

Spoke to a local there. They use processed bacalhau and filler to give it that fish tatse. Also explains why it's so salty.

Not sure how anyone enjoys these.
