“Amazing tarts, but eat on site”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

The place is huge - the exit from the rear hidden dining room is 7 shops away. Go inside and don't pain, there should be space n the 4th or 5th room.
Tarts were awesome as indicated, but we tried to bring some back to London for the family, but they didn't keep so well. They were no longer crisp.

“Incredible Pastries”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 via mobile

This is a must stop when touring Portugal. The place is enormous and ornate, traditional blue & white Portuguese tiles surround every inch of the establishment. Fresh baked pastries can be seen being made from scratch. Sit back and relax, enjoy a few pastries with an espresso or two, and leave with a smile from ear to ear. I can't wait until my next visit.

“I wish I could have this place to myself...”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

Unfortunately it is not possible. But there is a reason to it - they serve the most fantastic pasteis de nata You can find, fresh out of the oven. It is simply one of these must-visit-places I try to go to each time I am in Lisbon.

The only negative thing about this café/bakery are the hordes of other visitors going there. ;)

“The best pastry.”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

You cannot come to Lisbon without making a stop at This place. Everyone knows and loves it. You don't have to wait too long for a taste of the past, present and future. The serving staff is top notch and speak most languages. The whole experience will bring a smile on your face for years to come, and you will want to come back over and over again.
