We just slept on night but there's how review :

- Good place to be despite the weather because if it rains or it's cold, you can go to the SPA (massages available and free Sauna and Jacuzzi) and there's a "little forest that in the back that you can use for a little stroll in the nature
- The room was clean and very comfortable
- We've dinner in their restaurant and what we've eaten looked very "homemade" and very tasty
- The breakfast was the only thing that was not positive because it was 9 euros and was very very simple (they can had natural juice, boiled or scrambled eggs or even espresso)
- The staff was always very helpful and friendly.

Overall a very good experience in a very cosy country house :)

We were attending a Wedding at a nearby Quinta. We elected not to hire a car but to use a prebooked taxi service from Lisbon Airport, this cost around £50.00 it was approx 25 miles. Taxis are quite easy and reasonably inexpensive compared with the UK provided you pre-book and agree a price. Mafra Palace is nearby and also worth a visit. Gradil is about 20 mins walk, quite pleasant but a bit to far when booted and suited.
The staff were very friendly and the prices of the drinks were good. The breakfasts were reasonable, but lunchtime food was not worth bothering with. We as per a previous reviewer really struggled to find staff, especially during the day. Once found they could not have been more helpfull. A few words of Portugese would serve you well as English was not that widely spoken. If we were in the area we would stay again.

Been there for a week. Very relaxing, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and restaurant. Good brekfast room and so is the breakfast itself. Lots of interesting points in 50 km around, but also good for hiking. Very friendly staff. Good for couples, families.

Recentelly renovated, it offers just a reasonable quality hotel, which main advantage is to be the only one in a circle of 20kms. Rooms are large but minimally comfortable, bathroom is poorly iluminated and no air conditioned. In Winter time may be uncomfortably cool.
Breakfast is simple but acceptable quality. No newspapers on sale.

We stayed just one night here while attending a wedding at nearby Quinta Sant'Ana in Gradil village itself, along with many of the other wedding guests. We arrived well before the 2pm check in time and it took a while to locate any staff to check us in, there is a sign at reception and outside bell to ring as well as sofas in the outer courtyard to sit on while you wait. After a while one of the cleaners came and checked us in, she showed us around the hotel and made sure our room was readied as quickly as possible so we could drop off our bags and get to the wedding venue.
The hotel is a series of separate two storey traditional buildings accessed from cobbled courtyards, our room was on the first floor, spacious, very clean, nicely furnished with good quality bedding, a big comfy bed and a large ensuite shower room. Breakfast is a continental buffet, taken in the dining area of the guest lounge.
There is plenty of parking directly in front of the hotel and we drove to & from Quinta Sant'Ana in Gradil village as it was just a bit too far to walk if you were dressed up. Due to the short length of our stay we did not get to use the outside pool but this looked ok.
The hotel is on the N8 to the east of Gradil and around 35 minutes from Lisbon airport via the motorway, (which has toll booths - we were only charged 1.05 euro for the length we used). Summing up, this hotel has a laid back atmosphere but offers attractive and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Staff were helpful and friendly, just hard to find at times!
