We were staying at the D.Maria pousada and dinner was at this restaurant. From start (greeting/seating) to finish (coffee/port and farewell) this was an exceptional dining experience. The appertisers were simple, regional and delicious. The chateaubriand was perfect. Served at the table by professional waitress (Sara). Wine, selected by the winewaiter, was excellent. Everything about this restaurant was professional, from the staff to the linen napkins and hallmark silver cutlery to the food and wine. We are in our 50's and have dined extensively in Australia(home) and overseas.
With the 20% voucher from the pousada, the bill was only about 140 euros.
This was one of our best experiences evr and rates in our top 5.
