It is a small hotel in quite place in quieter city of Setubal in Portugal.
I am staying here for business purpose and it is convenient.
But restaurant there is avoidable.
We are having mushrooms cooked in lot of oil every day and it has taught me to cope with boredom of eating same dish evry day for last 5 days .

dinner too at the end of the day has limited variety.

Room Tip: all are same

Very similar impression as other reviews. Service excellent and friendly. Food reasonable. Quiet and comfortable hotel, with reasonable wi-fi. Very pleasant pool and garden area. Normally the above would lead me to give 4 stars, but on the down side, there is an overall feel that the hotel is a bit jaded, from the sign at the front gate to the rooms. Also the situation is not ideal , being a bit out of town, but on the other hand, with nowhere to go for a walk. Ideal if you have a car, though, being close to the main routes and a large free car park. Not a bad hotel in many ways, but could without too much effort, be much better.

This hotel is not very central, but because of that it is nice and quiet. The rooms are dated and the food average. The best part for us was the outdoor pool and big grounds with beautiful birds. The perfect place to relax and read or nap. The pool temperature was 'refreshing', but not cold. Kids are welcome.
Free parking and easy access to the highway made this a satisfactory choice for a two night stay. Internet was available in the lobby area, restaurant and pool area.

Hotel facilities are just OK...room cleaning was not done one day... (didn't complained because i arrived midnight and i just wanted to sleep) and there is an evident maintenance issue, carpets are TERRIBLY dirty especially in the restaurant... paint scraps... and broken games (i.e chess) the good points are: great service at the front desk.. nice entertainments for kids... and overall rooms are clean and OK... the best... is Good Value for Money....

It s not very central, but is easy to find and with a good park. Good service. Good room (perhaps the wc s a little bit old dated), and excellent beds. Very interesting to children (wellcome gift, x-box kinetic and x-box, toys). Free acess to computer and free internet all over the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Small but clean pool (and free towels); kids playground, chess and tenis.
Note - Novotel don`t charged kids (2) till 16 year old.

PS - pity smoke bedroom smells...

Room Tip: select higher floors (far from restaurant and pool acess)

stayed one night waiting for a flight, the hotel is incredibly easy to find from the autoroute and seemed to cater mainly for people on the way to the South. Parking is free and plentiful.
Staff were great though very busy but all questions and queries were answered.

There is a very popular pool and also games consols set up in the lounge.

Because of the location get a cab or drive if going to town, there does not appear to be a simple way to walk with all approach roads having no pavements.
Setubal though faded is nice for a stroll around and has some great cafes serving the local speciality of fried cuttlefish.

Room was basic but clean though some of the coridors could do with a new carpet.

Accor policy of free wifi continues to make a fan of me.

Room Tip: while the pool rooms have the best view the pool is very noisy all day

Novotel was the right choice for us because they are among the few hotels in Portugal to accept pets. It's not the perfectly located, but Its Ok if you want to visit the surroundings ( Comporta & Troia) are not far, if you have a car. Rooms are a bit old-fashioned but they are clean and you get free Wi-Fi connection. The swimming pool is quite nice and there's also a small tennis court.Kids are welcome in their parents room and pay nothing which is a surplus. Overall good value for money.
