The windy roads, and absolutely stunning views make this place a real treat. Loads of beaches out there, be careful we got our hire car robbed on Praia de Caia(might have made the name up slightly), even been cycling, my golly it is tiring.... Just don't leave your litter.

This has to be one of the most picturesque places in Southern Portugal, it has some of the most beautiful beaches, and a beautiful mountain behind.
Well worth the walks on various trails in the mountains, and finish on the gorgeous white sandy beaches with crystal clear blue sea. There is a main country road that goes from one end of the mountain to the other, so you can drive up there a take in its vistas...that same road also then goes by the beaches at the foot of the mountain. There are not a lot of places in Europe or the world for that matter, that can boast these 2 natural beauties in one only location - Mountains & Beaches, a must to visit!

Just 40m from Lisbon by car, there is this magical and peaceful natural place to stop and relax or even just to drive in this sierra road, with wonderful sightseeings and landscapes, breathing fresh air, watching the Sado River kissing Tróia and Setúbal with their beaches (Portinho da Arrábida, Figueirinha and Tróia). If you're lucky you'll see the resident foxes. And if you go by night the sky becomes very starry and in summer it's possible to see fireflies! Great place to see the sunrise, sunset and fullmoon.

The park consists of various reserves, largely protected, and several beaches, some of dificult access.

Is not recommended to take a taxi because it is very expensive, to rent a car or bike are the best ways to explore the reserve.

The reserve extends for many km's, there are several attractions, points of interest, ways to go, so it is advisable to get a map, as well to do a search for information before visiting the park.

The negative point in the park, is the factory/quarry, is located east of the reserve.

To enjoy the park and all it offers, I suggest at least three days.
