This is our worst meal in Portugal ever.
Very limited choice of preparations. The ingredients were fresh but they were cooked in pretentious though poor way. Presentation was below self-service snacks.
Although we went there on a Friday night, there were only four tables occupied.
Service is minimal.
Prices are unreasonably high.
What attracts people to this restaurant is its location on top of a hill facing Lisbon, sitting on the other bank of the river.
It is indeed a magnificent view over the city and a large part of the coast.
All visitors to Lisbon should see it.
But this restaurant doesn't have the exclusivity of the view.
In front of the building, there is a public walkway with exactly the same view. Even better, the walkway is equipped with public benches where one can sit to admire the view and maybe wait for sunset.
My tip should now clearly appear to the reader: spend some time on the public walkway admiring the landscape but don't take a meal in this restaurant.
One last piece of advice: it is practically impossible to park a car in the vicinity. Leave yours somewhere in the centre of Almada, catch a cab and ask the driver to take you up to Jardim do Castelo (GPS lat=N 38.684383 lon=W 9.156244).
Hope this helps.
