The location was perfect, a 10 min walk to the historic part of town. It is right at the train station which is great - we, however had picked up a rental car in Lisbon. While it says there's no parking, the girl at the front desk told us she was heading out and we could have her spot right in front of the doors :) She was also very helpful in recommending restaurants for us to celebrate our anniversary. When we returned from dinner, the desk told us they had a gift for us (we had obviously mentioned it was our anniversary) and they brought us a beautiful tray with champagne, strawberries and chocolates! Very unexpected and very much appreciated! The room was small but looked very newly renovated. Some reviewers mentioned street noise - this wasn't a problem for us at all. Breakfast wasn't elaborate but still nice. Loved that they had a capuccino machine! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed two nights recently and the location was pretty convenient. It was easy to find right from the train station, only a block down lower. The staff were polite and helpful, spoke fluent english. The rooms are very small with little to no storage so plan to live out of your bag. You could hear quite a bit of noise coming from the street like cars and yelling people. The Wifi had one maybe two bars from the room but we didnt use it much anyways. The tile in the bathroom was awesome, no tub and the shower was very small. Very clean and well maintained but the free breakfast was only a few buns, slices of meat and cheese and juice. The gardens area out back is nice to sit and relax in the morning. This place is for the most part ok for one or two nights but thats it, not much in the way of amenities. I'd give it 4 and a quarter stars because of what you get for the money is slightly lacking.

Room Tip: Maybe one of the rooms looking towards the back overlooking the gardens would be quieter.

We stayed 3 nights in Sintra Bliss House and enjoyed every minute!
The hotel was opened during 201 though looks like it was opened yesterday, everything is sparkling new and clean.

The room was well equipped (including free high-speed WiFi) and stylishly designed and decorated. While some reviewers complained about thin walls, we did not have any problem and the room was quite day and night.

The stuff was very friendly and helpful (communicated with our rental car agency and made reservations for us at restaurants).

Breakfast was good with lot's of local sweets.

Location: it's a nice 10 min walk to the historic center, close to the bus station (to get to all the interesting places) and near the train station and shops. We arrived by taxi in the middle of the night directly from Lisbon airport.

Really an outstanding hotel with high value for money, look no further that's your home in Sintra.

Room Tip: room 15 was great

We stayed in a two bedroom appartement and everything was spot on. Big, nice and new with everything we needed. Nice kitchen and bathrooms, we made breakfast there, but you also have the possibility to eat at the breakfastroom at the hotel nearby. The appartements was about 50 meters from the hotel, and there were a lot of steps so not suited for disabled people. (the hole city is not for disabled people as it is a lot of steep hills)
the front desk concierge was very nice and helpful. Only drawback is that it is no wifi in the appartement, you have to go down to the hotel. And no cleaning service during our stay. (3 nights)
We had a great dinner in a restaurant nearby, Pateo do Garrett, Rua Maria Eugenia Reis Ferreira Navarro. Local food, cheap and delicious with the best cod (bacalao) and a fantastic view. Look down to find it!

Sintra Bliss House was a wonderful stop on a 10-day trip to Portugal. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and stylish. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful - pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereal, and more. The location is perfect - right in the center of town and on an adorable street.

Nice room and very pleasant and helpful people in the reception. Only ting to complain about was that when we booked the hotel online it said that the hotel had free parking, but that is only a very few spots .

Sintra is a place my husband and I go back to a few times a year, for one or two nights. We always stayed at a particular hotel that has been going down the hill in terms of quality (and the prices are still very high), but because of location, and the alternatives being more expensive, we kept on choosing the same place...NO MORE. We are so pleased that we found Sintra Bliss House.

Sintra Bliss House is very close to the train station (so it's handy if you're carrying heavy luggage - normally we don't but we were returning from a trip to Porto). True, walking to the historic centre is about 10 minutes but the walk is so pleasant you don't even notice it (there are sculptures and in the summer plenty of hydrangeas of all colours and amazing views).

The hotel is very modern but really small - more like a guest house, hence the name. The receptionists are very young, polite and helpful. The bedrooms are spacious and extremely clean. The bathroom is of a great size too (some have said small, but I think it's more than enough - it lacks perhaps some shelves for the toiletries).

We can't confirm if the rooms are noisy as we don't know how full the hotel was. We did have people next door to us but they were quiet - we heard them get in and that was it. In the morning it was just us having breakfast at 8am, so no queues (the breakfast room is tiny).

Minor problems include the shower cubicle - it leaks onto the floor. (I had read this on a previous review on a different site and so was not surprised). There are no toiletries (I don't mind but just so people know that they need to bring theirs - there is a soap/shampoo dispenser, "all in one" kind in the shower cubicle, if you're happy with that). The bedside light is very dim, so if you like to read in bed at night, this won't be enough - luckily I have a reading light with me at all times (but I feel I must warn my fellow bookworms).

Wireless internet is free. Just ask for your username and password at the desk.

There is no bar but there is a coffee machine by the breakfast room, with a few cakes. We haven't helped ourselves to either but would have done so if there was a kettle and tea bags - just a suggestion. There is also a vending machine with food and drinks.

We paid 91€ (90€ on booking.com) but we were travelling with no internet access so had to book via telephone - very kind receptionist took my booking without asking for any credit card details and took payment on arrival. The price is acceptable, as it includes breakfast.

All in all, my husband and I are delighted to have found this new hotel and it's now our hotel of choice in Sintra. We can't wait to go back and we just arrived.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the ground floor by the breakfast area, as if the hotel is busy you'll be awake r...
