Very good choise to pass a night with my wife. Great design, very good location, good sleep quality, the breakfast is "home made" and give you the privacy that you need. A great place in a great city, with a good price.

I spent six nights here. The first three were for business; the second three for vacation. The location is great. The staff are most helpful. The rooms comfortable and quiet. Great value. Plus you get a 15% discount at the restaurant Suntria, which is well worth the visit too. They have thought of many details like a library including books on local botanical walking tours, making the stay much like that of a B&B. I was in room 11, which has a forest view (not the city view). The room was quiet even though there was street construction that started on the first day of my stay. Even then, the hotel provided ear plugs without my asking. They also surprised me one afternoon with tea, crackers, and jam being in my room upon my return from work. There is coffee 24x7 in the dining area together with sweets, but not in the room. The only drawback is breakfast which is very heavy on sweets and has no hot items. If you like sweets, then Portugal is the place to go and this is the place to stay in Sintra. They have about eight different typical Portuguese sweets every morning. Myself, I like protein in the morning, which I had to get through sliced cold cut meats and cheese. Don't let that keep you from staying here though. Also, the room did not have facial tissue (Kleenex) and a bath tub would have been nice (shower only), but I managed easily without either. If it weren't for the breakfast, I would have given this place an Excellent rating. (No pool or on-site restaurant.)

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the street side; room 11 is next to a vacant building, so there is no noise fr...

The hotel is near railway station, near the historical downtown. Design finishing of rooms, big rooms, convenient beds. The shower too design, I understood not at once as it to include. Behind hotel quiet quiet court. The room on the first floor wasn't pleasant - was noisy during a breakfast, is noisy when included a coffee maker, is noisy in a lobby in the evening.
For the rest everything was fine.

A lovely retreat , especially after some of the rat holes I have stayed in on this trip . Neat , tidy , lovely polite staff, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a "good " walk to the town , but you do pass some fantastic sculpture, and lovely gardens, that are also great to look at. The walk also gives you anticipatory glimpses of a truly lovely town.

My husband and I stayed here in December of 2012. We asked to move rooms from the street side to the garden side and found it to be much more quiet. We're not sure why they didn't put us on the garden side in the first place, since the hotel was not full. The WiFi is spotty and requires that you re-login every time your phone locks, so it's kind of a pain. That said, the garden side rooms are very peaceful, and the rooms on either side are very modern, clean and spacious. The garden side has a small balcony with a beautiful view of the trees and parts of the outer town. The location is very convenient to the train station - just a few minutes walk if you take the stairs right across from the train station and turn left at the bottom. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast is Euro standard - no eggs or made-to-order items. Just fruit and pastries and sugary cereal fare.

Modern boutique hotel of modest standard. Receptionist pleasant but lacked training...tried hard.
Bedroom sparse and minimalist in style, bathroom very stylish decor. Breakfast continental, just adequate. Location Quite good, bus stop to centre just outside door, excellent family bistro within 50-60 meters. Advertises as being 100M from train station, which is correct, if you are a mountain goat. Better and more convenient options elsewhere.

This hotel has gradually slid down the rankings and will probably fall further. Very good value if you are on a budget and quite fit.

Room Tip: If your are looking for comfort look elsewhere

We were in Sintra for one night and stayed at the Sintra Bliss Hotel. It is not far from the train station, but took a bit of time to find (there is a sign for it a couple of blocks down the street where the stairs go down from the train station). In any case, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They do have coffee and treats as well as breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was basic continental, but I was disappointed that one of the yogurt containers was expired and the fruit was not the freshest.
The room itself was small and clean, but enough for one night. The bathroom was a bit small, and the glass door (though frosted), did not leave much for privacy.
We did some sightseeing the next day as well and the staff at the front desk were kind to let us check our luggage with them.
I would recommend staying here for a short trip just to see Sintra and surrounding areas.
