Off the tourist track and near the train station is this lovely cafe/restaurant. We are so glad that we stopped by for a light dinner. We had a panini, sandwich, garlic butter toast, a pot of tea, and a bottle of water (grand total = 17 euros). The menu also included salads, a soup of the day, and a variety of other small and medium plates, desserts, pastries, coffees, and drinks.
In short - It was delicious. Fresh and tasty vegetables and a lovely bread. The bread was definitely fresh (from a local baker). The garlic butter toast was just salty and garlic-y enough. The tea was delightful (and I drink a LOT of tea).
Even better, the folks working there were kind and attentive, with smiles on their faces and a real desire to make sure that we enjoyed our meal. We really felt like they were happy to have us there.
The cafe itself is very cute. There are two rooms in the front of the kitchen and one behind and to the left. The one in the back is cozy and smaller. The two in the front get good sun and have a lot of tables. I think that I remember a few tables out front - but I can't honestly remember, as we sat inside.
A perfect place to spend a bit of time while in Sentra when your feet need a break - whether you just want a coffee while you read the paper or you want to sit down with a group of friends and share a meal.
