Normally we avoid restaurants on touristy main streets whenever possible and search out places off the beaten path. In this case however, we were looking for somewhere to have a drink and watch a world cup match. We wandered into the tiny downstairs of Tasca do Xico for the game and ended up staying all night. We even came back a second time! The staff were really wonderful and made the experience so much fun. Great sangria and tapas and tasty mains like grilled octupus and golden brim. All around a great place to stop in for local flavor. Say hi to Sebastiao for us!
