“Fantastic place with exceptional staff.”

Villas Das Rosas was the perfect place to stay while visiting Portugal. The staff was the best doing everything to make our stay a wonderful time. Don't miss out on their daily breakfast. The location is convenient abd close to everything including Lisbon, the beach and the wine country. I would highly recommend this unique and affordable boutique hotel.

Superior staff and owner/manager with integrity.
Eye appealing buildings with large, calming grounds and on-site parking. Clean, quiet, pretty, rooms with comfortable beds. Good location not far from the old town. On-site breakfast had a variety of options. Good, nearby neighborhood restaurants.

Arriving by car a bit challenging, but would most definitely return and highly recommend.

We had a good room, wi-fi excellent, secure parking. The hotel has a lovely garden with a pool, lots of comfortable places to relax. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Good advice on restaurants and local amenities. We were sitting by the pool on one occasion and a member of staff came out with glasses and bottles of cold water as she thought it was a very hot day. Breakfasts were excellent. There was fresh fruit and bottled water in the room, and a kettle. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the historic centre and there are regular busses to the palaces etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend it enough.

Room Tip: Can't comment as there was only one room available when I booked, but it was a pleasant room wit...

This was an excellent B&B. The rooms are large and comfy. The breakfast is usually jamon, eggs, fruit, pastry, and juice. The staff is very helpful and will recommend restaurants and points of interest that you may otherwise miss. Train Station is 15 minutes away by foot. There are several restaurants within the same distance.

I have been there with my husband on our honeymoon this summer and it was just the perfect location for our start as married couple. The city itself is just awesome and the hotel is in the new part of Sintra, so you walk 15 minutes to the old center through a beautiful environment. The staff speaks languages (English and Spanish besides Portuguese) on an excellent level, everybody is helpful and tries to make you relly feel home away from home! When we arrived we found a vessel with many different fruits and a fresh bottle of mineral water in our room, with a welcome note :) the room was lovely, it was called cuarto das rosas so it was all grey and passion red (every room in the house has a different name and is decorated with a specific dominant color). Breakfast was delicious, we had pineapple, banana and papaya every morning with cereals, bread with local cheese and O.J. The garden is big and full of surprises: There's a little gazebo where we would go to read and relax after dinner, it is located near the swimming pool which is not huge but really nice and quiet. And there is a large and luminous space in the middle of the garden where you can meditate, practice yoga or just chill out - I would go there everyday for my 15-minutes-tai-chi and really enjoyed practising on the parquet in that silent atmosphere. I guess they organise some workshops there once a while, it would be a perfect setting for a dance retreat... It was definitely a highlight! Inside the house there is also a living room with a chimney and some books, reviews etc. where you can have a little break before going in your room, I imagine it must be particularly cozy in the winter. I look forward to going back to Portugal which has become my favourite European country and I really recommend Sintra to all art&nature lovers.

A lovely hotel with garden and pool area to match. Decor and outside area all very attractive. Our every comfort ensured by Sergio who welcomed us and other staff.. Fruit and water in our room very much appreciated. Good location for exploring Sintra.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed lovely.

We were made very welcome when we arrived at this charming and very comfortable hotel in Sintra. It offers excellent value for money and is in a good position to visit Sintra. Ten minutes from the railway station and fifteen minutes walk from the old centre it offers great value for money. The hotel manager could not have been more pleasant and helpful, a charming and friendly man. He and his wife run this hotel at a very good standard. Our room led onto the lovely garden, was very comfortable and clean. Water and fruit, coffee and tea were in our room on arrival and overall it was well appointed. After unpacking we were hungry and ordered sandwiches which were freshly made, delicious and large! Highly recommended. In the morning we had breakfast in a lovely dining room, the food was well presented and very tasty, and great freshly squeezed orange juice, an excellent start to the day. As a base for exploring Sintra this was an excellent choice and we had a very enjoyable stay. If we come back to Sintra we will stay here again.
