“Divine place!”

We had the soups, grilled grouper and mixed vegetables for lunch. Try the house vinhos verdes...delectable. Ambiance was chilled out and the service excellent.

“not cheap but worth it!”
Reviewed 2 June 2013

The Buzio cafe is a small place near to the Buzio Restaurant. This review is for the Buzio restaurant as it has the same owners, and is the fish restaurant that other reviewers are writing about, not about the cafe. We were recommended this as the best fish restaurant in the area, and it certainly lived up to it. The fish on display were still jumping up and down they were that fresh! The staff are very efficient and helpful, the menu full of the very best the sea can offer, and a very reasonable wine list (a half bottle of house white was 4 euro and was very good) We ate here twice, the first time we had a small light lunch for 34 euro, and the second time a full lunch with a shared starter of garlic prawns, a shared 1 kg Dourada and a pudding, plus wine a couple of beers and coffee for 77euro. Not cheap, but very worthwhile.

“Top Quality Seafood Restaurant”
Reviewed 25 May 2013

I have eaten at this restaurant four times now over the last two years and in my experience it is the best restaurant in the area. Definately worth the journey if you are not staying locally.
There is a great family tradition here which seems to have been passed down through the generations which adds to the experience.
Luiz the owner is very good a recommending dishes. On our last two visits we ate Buzio style. Both were delicious and memorable

“Very good restaurant for seafood”
Reviewed 9 May 2013 via mobile

We took mussel and grilled octopus and both were very fresh and very tasty. Otherwise there were a good range of choices. Garnish portion was too small.

“A Taste and View of the Sea”
Reviewed 16 March 2013

This looks from the outside just another seaside restaurant but it is much better than that. For a start it has decent a size car park right behind the restaurant. It's speciality is seafood, much of which you can inspect first hand in the tank at the front of the restaurant. Rather than ordering a starter, let them bring you the olives/breads/cheeses/crab/tuna/croquettes as a kind of tapas, especially if there is a group of you. We went as a six and sat at the front in the glass front part of the restaurant which flanks the road opposite the beach. The restaurant is smart but casual. Dont let me put you off if seafood is not your thing there are plenty of great meaty dishes as well. The wine selection to go with it is decent as well. After the tapas combo we had a beautiful sea bass between 2 which is filleted at the table and the rest of us had an amazing fish stew with a real good selection of fish mussells prawns etc and served with rice. The staff are attentive and food really very good.It is a little on the pricey side compared with others but as usual in life you get what you pay for. If you are in the area and looking for a decent restaurant you should go here.
