“Inexpensive and convenient ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2014 via mobile

Very inexpensive way to see and travel through Sintra. A fantastic way to easily guide yourself through the fantastic old little down with safe and reliable cars. The car gives you great directions to follow and then an in depth explanation on all the sites. Considering the distance between each major monument this car is essential when wanting to visit everything within one day. You go at your own pace without having to wait for public transport. The car also conveniently lets you park next to the monuments therefor making it that touch faster again from public transport.

We paid €35 for a 3 hour guided GPS tour.. Yes we will be returning!!

“Best way to see the sights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2014

This was such a fun way to see the sights. Yes it is a little expensive, but when compared to walking up the incredibly steep hills, or packing onto a tour bus, it is well worth it. The manager is very friendly, patient and funny - he gave us the confidence and tips on how to drive. There is a GPS system that talks you through both the path and the sites. The electric cars are TINY but so much fun

“Best way to see Sintra!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2013

Driving around in this little car was the highlight of my trip to Lisbon! We initially planned on walking around Sintra but quickly realized that was a bad idea given the long walk times and the hills...so we were going to get on the bus when we saw these! 45 euros between two is a small prices to pay for how fun and convenient these cars are. We had a blast having the freedom to come and go from places as we wished and to explore on our own. The man who helped us was SO friendly -- we loved him and he was very helpful and informative! One of the nicest people I've interacted with while traveling. 100% worth the money for a 3 hour tour...I'd have even payed more, to be honest, and I'm a poor college student. Highly recommended!

“Definitely the way to go!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

At 45 Euro for a three hour tour in a two-person electric golf cart, this can't be considered cheap but the envious looks from other tourists huffing and puffing up the hills, as well as the specially designated priority parking right in front of the entrance to the attractions are worth the price of admission alone. Unless you are a seasoned athlete, you need to rent one of these or get on a bus tour if you want to actually enjoy your Sintra experience.

The gentlemen running the show (I believe they are brothers) are extremely friendly, polite and helpful, and the owner even escorted us to a restaurant for lunch when we were done. Granted the restaurant is probably owned by a relative or something, but the food was very good and prices very reasonable. They even threw in a round of port on the house. To top it off, we happened to run into the owner again near the train station as we were about to head back to Lisbon, and he went out of his way to buy us some pastries as a parting gift! All in all just a great experience and lots of fun.

“Entertaining on its own, plus access to the sites”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2013

This was one of my favorite memories of three weeks in Portugal - BOOST! These tiny electric cars are rented out by extremely friendly guys, and are the best way to get up to the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace at the top of the hill. The cars are miniature and are particularly entertaining to drive uphill, when you have to add a little boost which provides a surprising amount of extra speed. The employees/owner could not have been nicer or more entertaining. I think I laughed for the entire 3 hours. Try it out!
