“Beautiful garden setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

We were encouraged by the amazing Mr Smidt to try the O Dragerio whilst browsing for a suitable venue. Tables are dispersed in a garden of orchids - a lovely setting. Food & service was good value for money & our only regret is that we did not make a 2nd visit before leaving for home

“Excellent steak”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Dined here in June 2014 and it was excellent! We were staying next door to the restaurant and had bypassed it for a couple of evenings as the tout outside with his vivid tailcoat jacket was a little disconcerting at first. We eventually scanned the menu and found plenty of choice so decided to give it a try. What a surprise we had! I had the 'steak on a stone', a local dish (probably for tourists) which consists of a very hot slab of granite brought to the table with an enormous slab of fillet beef! The idea is that you cook the steak how you want it, then lift it onto your plate along with the vegetables and potatoes. The staff can help you cook it if you are unsure. The steak was one of the juiciest and tenderest pieces of meat I have ever eaten, and I have eaten quite a few very good meals over the years. My wife chose the lamb chops and they were cooked very well. The service was good and there seemed to be a lot of locals eating there which is always a good sign.
I can recommend this restaurant whatever your tastes

“Highly recommended near to Hotel Estrelicia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

Such a friendly gentleman on meet and greet duties and what an array of coats! Fillet steak was one of the best I've had in ages. Staff were attentive and happy to have our 5 year old there too. Would recommend though it is a little more pricy but worth it

“Where to eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

A good place to eat not far down the road from the Dorisol Buganvilia hotel. Open Monday to Sunday 11am to 12pm. There is a lovely outside seating area & a restaurant inside. There is also a cocktail bar next to the restaurant belonging to the same people. We had a set tourist menu of 3 courses. All were beautifully prepared/cooked & very tasty. The wine was reasonably priced.
Service was excellent, Right from being greeting at the entrance by a red coated gentleman offering an aperitif to the waiting staff to our closing after dinner tot.
