We booked this tour online as a fun day out as we were visiting Funchal by cruise ship. Email communication with Madeira Adventure Kingdom was great they confirmed a time they would meet us outside the cruise terminal and Miguel was their with his black and white striped Land Rover waiting for us. We booked a half day tour which was a mix of on and off road and we saw so much in this time. We first went to Camera de Lobos, then to see the high cliffs at Cabo Girão, we had a really good run off road through the forest and we could stand up in the back of the Land Rover which the children loved. Miguel explained lots about the flora and fauna of Madeira and made it interesting for all the ages. I got to try authentic poncha at a rural rest stop, where is was freshly prepared and had quite a kick! We headed up to view the Nuns Valley which was stunning and fascinating to see how the terracing of land for agriculture covers the hills. This was our best trip and highly recommended, excellent value for money, fun and interesting! Just one tip. In April it was cool up in the hills, so take a coat or jacket and enjoy.
