Just returned from Madeira with our 7 year old. The hotel is nice but not of the quality of other four stars we have stayed in. The room did have a lovely sea view but was a standard room with a put me up bed and it wasn 't really big enough for us all. Staff generally helpful but at times they were stretched to provide adequate service. Food very average, machines serving juice and coffee which wasn't very nice. Lovely health centre and spa. Hotel generally very clean but a little dated in places. Half board buffet not worth the money and limited choice. Much better option to just have bed and breakfast and eat out. Very comfortable queen sized bed!
Overall nice but the hotel could make more effort to add a fees extras and make the experience a little more memorable, however it was our daughters birthday and they made her a cake and made her feel special. Michaela is excellent as guest relations manager.More
